The strategy may have backfired. A statement by Hawaiian officials Friday that they have seen but won't release an "original" birth certificate that has never been released raises more questions than it answers. It undercuts the indignant claims of Obama spokesmen and supporters that the "birth certificate" has been published for months, and the ridicule and claims of "smear" that the Obama camp has made against anyone claiming otherwise.

For those inclined to see the workings of divine providence in human history, the special affinity of the American people for Israel provides a happy example. If Israel could have only one consistent ally in the world, it would surely have picked the world's (still) most powerful nation. Without the United States, Israel would be hard pressed to obtain the weapons needed to defend itself.
American popular support for Israel has many sources. The first is historical. The Puritan founders of the Massachusetts Bay Colony self-consciously modeled themselves on the ancient Hebrews and styled themselves as the New Israel. The Hebrew Bible provided their guidance. All the early presidents of Yale were Hebraists, and the college's insignia was patterned on the urim vetumim worn by the high priest.

To this day, Americans remain by far the most religious people in the Western world. Seventy million American Evangelicals constitute Israel's most ardent supporters. Americans have always tended to be jealous of their sovereignty and willing to defend themselves against any threat to their liberty. The state motto of New Hampshire, "Live free or die," captures that spirit. As such, they admire Israel's doughty self-defense against far more numerous enemies. ........

We know Dick Lamm as the former Governor of Colorado. In that context his thoughts are particularly poignant. Last week there was an immigration overpopulation conference in Washington , DC , filled to capacity by many of America 's finest minds and leaders. A brilliant college professor by the name of Victor Hansen Davis t alked about his latest book, "Mexifornia," explaining how immigration - both legal and illegal was destroying the entire state ofCalifornia. He said it would march across the country until it destroyed all vestiges of The American Dream.

Moments later, former Colorado Governor Richard D. Lamm stood up and gave a stunning speech on how to destroy America

The audience sat spellbound as he described eight methods for the destruction of the United States . He said, "If you believe that America is too smug, too self-satisfied, too rich, then let's destroy America . It is not that hard to do. No nation in history has survived the ravages of time. Arnold Toynbee observed that all great civilizations rise and fall and that 'An autopsy of history would show that all great nations commit suicide.'"

"Here is how they do it," Lamm said:

" First, to destroy America , turn America into a bilingual or multi-lingual and bicultural country. History shows that no nation can survive the tension, conflict, and antagonism of two or more competing languages and cultures. It is a blessing for an individual to be bilingual; however, it is a curse for a society to be bilingual. The historical scholar, Seymour Lipset, put it this way: 'The histories of bilingual and bicultural societies that do not assimilate are histories of turmoil, tension, and tragedy.' Canada , Belgium , Malaysia , and Lebanon all face crises of national existence in which minorities press for autonomy, if not independence. Pakistan and Cyprus have divided. Nigeria suppressed an ethnic rebellion. France faces difficulties with Basques, Bretons, Corsicans and Muslims."

Lamm went on:

" Second, to destroy America , invent 'multiculturalism' and encourage immigrants to maintain their culture. Make it an article of belief that all cultures are equal; that there are no cultural differences. Make it an article of faith that the Black and Hispanic dropout rates are due solely to prejudice and discrimination by the majority. Every other explanation is out of bounds.

" Third, we could make the United States an 'Hispanic Quebec' without much effort. The key is to celebrate diversity rather than unity. As Benjamin Schwarz said in the Atlantic Monthly recently: 'The apparent success of our own multi-ethnic and multicultural experiment might have been achieved not by tolerance but by hegemony. Without the dominance that once dictated ethnocentriy and what it meant to be an American, we are left with only tolerance and pluralism to hold us together.' Lamm said, "I would encourage all immigrants to keep their own language and culture. I would replace the melting pot metaphor with the salad bowl metaphor. It is important to ensure that we have various cultural subgroups living in America enforcing their differences rather than as Americans, emphasizing their similarities."

"Fourth, I would make our fastest growing demographic group the least educated. I would add a second underclass, unassimilated, undereducated, and antagonistic to our population. I would have this second underclass have a 50% dropout rate from high school."

" My fifth point for destroying America would be to get big foundations and business to give these efforts lots of money. I would invest in ethnic identity, and I would establish the cult of 'Victimology.' I would get all minorities to think that their lack of success was the fault of the majority. I would start a grievance industry blaming all minority failure on the majority plation."

" My sixth plan for America 's downfall would include dual citizenship, and promote divided loyalties. I would celebrate diversity over unity. I would stress differences rather than similarities. Diverse people worldwide are mostly engaged in hating each other - that is, when they are not killing each other. A diverse, peaceful, or stable society is against most historical precet. People undervalue the unit y it takes to keep a nation together. Look at the ancient Greeks. The Greeks believed that they belonged to the same race; they possessed a common language and literature; and they worshipped the same gods. AllGreece took part in the Olympic games. A common enemy, Persia , threatened their liberty. Yet all these bonds were not strong enough to overcome two factors: local patriotism and geographical conditions that nurtured political divisions. Greece fell. "E. Pluribus Unum" -- From many, one. In that historical reality, if we put the emphasis on the 'pluribus' instead of the 'Unum,' we will " Ba lkanize " America as surely as Kosovo. '

" Next to last, I would place all subjects off limits. Make it taboo to talk about anything against the cult of 'diversity.' I would find a word similar to 'heretic' in the 16th century - that stopped discussion and paralyzed thinking. Words like 'racist' or 'xenophobe' halt discussion and debate. Having madeAmerica a bilingual/bicultural country, having established multi-cultum, having the large foundatio ns fund the doctrine of 'Victimology,' I would next make it impossible to enforce our immigration laws. I would develop a mantra: That because immigration has been good for America , it must always be good. I would make every individual immigrant symmetric and ignore the cumulative impact of millions of them."

In the last minute of his speech, Governor Lamm wiped his brow. Profound silence followed. Finally he said, "Lastly, I would censor Victor Hanson Davis's book 'Mexifornia.' His book is dangerous. It exposes the plan to destroy America . If you feel America deserves to be destroyed, don't read that book."

There was no applause. A chilling fear quietly rose like an ominous cloud above every attendee at the conference. Every American in that room knew that everything Lamm enumerated was proceeding methodically, quietly, darkly, yet pervasively across the United States today. Discussion is being suppressed. Over 100 languages are ripping the foundation of our educational system and national cohesiveness. Even barbaric cultures that practice female genital mutilation are growing as we celebrate 'diversity.' American jobs are vanishing into the Third World as corporations create a Third World in America Take note of California and other states. To date, ten million illegal aliens and growing fast. It is reminiscent of George Orwell's book "1984." In that story, three slogans are engrd in the Ministry of Truth building: "War is peace," "Freedom is slavery," and "Ignorance is strength."

Governor Lamm walked back to his seat. It dawned on everyone at the conference that our nation and the future of this great democracy is deeply in trouble and worsening fast. If we don't get this immigration monster stopped within three years, it will rage like a California wildfire and destroy everything in its path, especially The American Dream.

In case you didn't know CBRN stands for Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear.
If you live in a big city or even a small town that has a target of military value, then you live in an area that is a potential target for a CBRN attack. You should become informed on the effects and countermeasures for these threats. Even if you live far away in the open countryside, you will probably have to deal with the after effects from these attacks.

I simply can't present all the information on these threats in this one article; it would take an entire book. So let this article serve as a jumping off point for your own research.
I will cover some of the basics, but you will need to know more. First and foremost let me say, you CAN survive if you are prepared, but most of us I fear, are not prepared. Understanding the methods of a CBRN attack and countermeasures you can take are the key to successfully surviving an attack. Ignorance may be bliss, but the bliss is very short lived.

Some of you may be old enough to remember the "duck and cover" drills of the Cold War era. Although they are thought of as quaint today, they made a lot of sense back then. You may also remember the emphasis that was placed on Civil Defense and preparedness in those days. The government at all levels was actually well prepared for a nuclear attack with detailed plans, public bomb shelters, stocks of food, water, medicine, and equipment. That was then. Today government preparedness is geared to terror events and natural disasters; not full scale war and probably not even multiple terror events. So you need to provide your own civil defense and preparedness to fill in the gaps.

There are ways to prepare for such events that could make a difference of life or death.
If you happen to be near ground zero in the event of a nuclear attack you undoubtedly will not survive, but in all other cases you have a good chance. It all depends on being prepared and informed. First learn about CBRN and then get the things you will need.

You can have antibiotics on hand to treat bacteriological attacks such as anthrax and bubonic plague; this will require a prescription from a sympathetic doctor. If you are a medical professional you should consider having a supply of auto-injectors to counteract the effects of nerve gas and other chemical agents. These are given to combat troops and consist of atropine, pralidoxime chloride, and diazepam. Also check with your local emergency responders to determine if they have these available in an emergency; they should have them. You can’t provide small pox vaccinations to your family, but the government can if the need arises. You can at least be aware of how to treat infected victims without becoming a victim yourself. Small pox is not always fatal if the victim is generally in good health and well cared for.

You can also have gas masks that will protect you against airborne CBRN attacks. Please don't rely on the cheap masks which offer limited protection; invest in quality masks that will protect against all CRBN agents. You can have the ability to seal your house against CBRN agents with some duct tape, plastic sheeting, and preparation. You can have potassium iodide tablets on hand to protect your thyroid against radiation poisoning. You can have radiation measuring devices to tell you when you are exposed to radiation and to what extent. Testing kits are also available for chemical and biological agents although these items are sometimes expensive.

You may have heard the advice, "get out of the cities", and that's very good advice because the cities will obviously be the main targets for CBRN attacks. But if you find yourself there anyway, there are just a few things in your favor. In the city, depending on the severity of the damage, there will be at least some emergency response from the government and hopefully access to medical help. Also, if you are lucky enough to be in a secure building when the attack occurs then you will be somewhat protected as if in a bunker. The presence of any uncontaminated food and water may enable you to shelter in place for an extended period until it is safe to leave. Still it is better to be as far away as possible from a CBRN attack, so evacuate if at all possible. Even from a safe distance there will be things to contend with, such as radioactive fallout and spreading epidemics from refugees, also looting, anarchy, hysteria and panic.

We as a nation are simply not taking present dangers seriously enough anymore; 9-11 seems like a long time ago. We seem to be determined to undo the all the methods that have been used to successfully thwart terror attacks. We want to believe that Iran will not really build nuclear weapons and it won't use them if it does build them; despite so much of their rhetoric to the contrary. We want to believe that North Korea is really interested in dismantling its nuclear program and achieving peace. We can't seem to get our Southern border secured despite a whole lot of promises from politicians. We seem blissfully unaware of the rekindling of hostilities with the Russians and what that could portend. We remain unconcerned about the huge military build up of China, financed by our purchase of their cheap goods. Believe what you want, but for me it's hard to believe that big trouble is not right around the corner and I plan to be prepared. How about you

Some thoughts on Obama's present difficulties...

The man has been allowed to get away with so much for so long. Either the media were so enthralled with the thought of him [Chris Matthews is your leg still tingling?] and/or they dared not ask questions they would have asked a white candidate for fear of being called "racist". Now truths have been emerging: that he and his wife don't much like this country and that they both are followers of a black supremacist anti-Semite who believes, amongst many other disgusting things, that the U.S. Government created the AIDS Virus to decimate the black population in Africa. No amount of words can erase the fact that Obama has called this man his mentor and has sat in the pews of this church for twenty years. The man is certainly not qualified to be President; now it is clear that his beliefs are beyond the pale. The best that could happen would be for this con man to be exposed for the true radical he is and have any chance of him being awarded the Democratic nomination for President of the United States be destroyed. It is important for all of us generally and for the Democratic Party specifically. We must have an opposition party that has some legitimacy.

However, there will be consequences in the wake of Obama's downfall. The most significant will be that his downfall will reinforce in many black people's minds the kind of theories being spouted from Wright's pulpit. I have been disturbed for well over a decade by the thinking that is going on in the minds of too many blacks: AIDS was invented by the U.S. Government to control the black population and/or see to its genocide; the C.I.A. developed crack to inflict drug addiction in inner city black neighborhoods; the treating of black males differently for high blood pressure is so that they will be denied proper medical care and die; O.J. Simpson was framed [both times] by white people; the Jews are behind most of the oppression of blacks; aid was denied to the victims of Hurricane Katrina so that blacks would die; etc. With Obama's downfall, another theory will make the rounds in the black community: that Obama got too close to being the first black President and the whites had to bring him down with lies and distortions [just another oppression]. If I am correct and this is true, it does not bode well for race relations in this country. Too many blacks already believe the things Wright spews.

MARK STEYN: Crimestoppers ubiquitous

Over at National Review the other day, I [posted] Rabbi Marmur's recollection of his role in the Great Toronto Show Boat Wars of the 1990s:

This was my stance more than a decade ago when Show Boat was staged in Toronto and some members of the black community objected on the grounds that it was racist. Many of my friends thought otherwise. For all I know, they may have been right, because it's difficult to describe Show Boat as a racist musical. Nevertheless, I felt that if some blacks thought that it was, their feelings were more important to me than my own artistic judgment. I think tolerance is also about that.

And as I wrote in response:

If you throw over Show Boat, one of the great works of the American theatre, because somebody's "feelings" (however manufactured) are more important, what else are you prepared to lose? In such a world, there will be nothing left.

Watching a grown man congratulating himself for placing "their feelings" over rational objective analysis, Kathy Shaidle put it more bluntly:

It is sad to see someone like Dow Marmur still stuck in that illusory mindset, all these years later, trying, in public, to talk himself into believing something he knows full well is absolute rubbish.

In a letter unconnected to the rabbi's thoughts, British reader Peter Monro nevertheless reminded me of something that seems relevant, Orwell's far-sighted concept of 1984 - "Crimestop":

Crimestop means the faculty of stopping short, as though by instinct, at the threshold of any dangerous thought. It includes the power of not grasping analogies, of failing to perceive logical errors, of misunderstanding the simplest arguments if they are inimical to Ingsoc*, and of being bored and repelled by any train of thought which is capable of leading in a heretical direction. Crimestop, in short, means protective stupidity.

There's a lot of that about.

*"Ingsoc" is a contraction deriving from "English Socialism". Poor old Orwell didn't foresee that "English" would be designated as too baldly ethnic a term to pass the sensitivity test in contemporary Britain. But it's not hard to imagine a smiley-face government agency called, say, "Canval", as in "Canadian values".

Compact fluorescent lamps - those spiral, energy-efficient bulbs popular as a device to combat global warming - can pose a small risk of mercury poisoning to infants, young children, and pregnant women if they break, two reports concluded yesterday.

But the reports, issued by the state of Maine and the Vermont-based Mercury Policy Project, urged homeowners to keep using compact fluorescents because their energy-saving benefits far outweigh the risk posed by mercury released from a broken lamp.

They said most danger could be avoided if people exercised common-sense caution, such as not using compact fluorescents in table lamps that could be knocked over by children or pets and properly cleaning up broken bulbs.

The US Environmental Protection Agency and the states of Massachusetts and Vermont said yesterday that, based on the Maine study, they are revising their recommendations for where to use compact fluorescents in a home and how to clean up when one breaks.

"Using compact fluorescent bulbs is still the brightest idea out there," said Michael Bender, director of the Mercury Policy Project, a nonprofit organization that works to eliminate mercury use. "The message is: People should not be afraid but informed and prepared and learn how to dispose of them properly."

The two reports constitute one of the most comprehensive examinations of the dangers posed by the lights, which use about 1 percent of the amount of mercury found in old thermometers.

Mercury is needed for the lamps to produce light, and there are no known substitutes. No mercury is emitted when compact fluorescents are burned, but a small amount is vaporized when they break, which can happen if people screw them in holding the glass instead of the base or drop them.

Mercury is a naturally occurring metal that accumulates in the body and can harm the nervous system of a fetus or young child if ingested in sufficient quantity.

For the Maine study, researchers shattered 65 compact fluorescents to test air quality and cleanup methods. They found that, in many cases, immediately after the bulb was broken - and sometimes even after a cleanup was attempted - levels of mercury vapor exceeded federal guidelines for chronic exposure by as much as 100 times.

There is no federal guideline for acute exposure. Some states, including Maine, use the chronic exposure level as their overall standard, while others, such as California, have chosen higher levels for acute exposure. Still, the mercury vapor released by the bulbs in the Maine study exceeded even those higher levels.

"We found some very high levels [of mercury] even after we tried a number of cleanup techniques," said Mark Hyland, director of Maine's Bureau of Remediation and Waste Management. He said levels were the lowest if the room was well ventilated after breakage.

The study recommended that if a compact fluorescent breaks, get children and pets out of the room. Ventilate the room. Never use a vacuum, even on a rug, to clean up a broken compact fluorescent lamps. Instead, use stiff paper such as index cards and tape to pick up pieces, and then wipe the area with a wet wipe or damp paper towel. If there are young children or pregnant woman in the house, consider cutting out the piece of carpet where the lamp broke as a precaution. Place the shards and cleanup debris in a glass jar with a screw top and remove the jar from the house.

Disposal regulations vary from state to state, with some requiring broken compact fluorescent light bulbs, to be disposed of as household hazardous waste. Most states allow intact compact fluorescents to be thrown away, but some - such as Vermont, Minnesota, and California - ban disposal in trash, according to Bender.

Some stores, such as Ikea, have set out recycling containers for fluorescent bulbs. In Maine, Hyland says, some 200 retailers are participating in compact fluorescent recycling.

Massachusetts is also ramping up a compact fluorescent recycling program and in May will ban disposal of any intact compact fluorescent lamp in trash. However, broken ones - because their mercury would probably have been vaporized - may be thrown away.

Sales are skyrocketing for compact fluorescent lamps, which use about 75 percent less energy and last up to 10 times longer than traditional incandescent bulbs, as consumers become more aware of global warming and the long-term cost savings. More than 290 million compact fluorescents carrying the EPA's "Energy Star" label sold last year, nearly double the number in 2006. Compact fluorescents now make up 20 percent of the US light bulb market, and sales are all but guaranteed to grow: A new law requires lights to become much more energy-efficient starting in 2012. According to the US Department of Energy, if every household replaced just one light bulb with a compact fluorescent, the United States would save more than $600 million each year in energy costs and prevent greenhouse gas emissions equal to 800,000 cars.

But compact fluorescents can contain from 1 to 30 milligrams of mercury, according to the Mercury Policy Project. The nonprofit cited a New Jersey study that estimated that about 2 to 4 tons of the element are released into the environment in the United States each year from compact fluorescents. That number is expected to grow as sales do. In comparison, about 48 tons of mercury is released into the environment by power plants each year, according to federal statistics.

"People should continue to support CFLs until there are mercury-free alternatives available," said Cindy Luppi of Clean Water Action, a local advocacy group.

What to do when compact fluorescents crack

Compact fluorescent lamps contain small amounts of toxic mercury that can vaporize when the bulbs break, creating a potential health risk for infants, young children, and pregnant women. If a lamp does break, follow these cleanup procedures:

Keep people and pets away. Open windows, and leave the area for 15 minutes before beginning the cleanup.

Do not use a vacuum cleaner, even on a carpet. This will spread the mercury vapor and dust and potentially contaminate the vacuum.

Wear rubber gloves.

Carefully remove the larger pieces and place them in a secure closed container, preferably a glass jar with a metal screw top lid and seal like a canning jar.

Next, scoop up the smaller pieces and dust using two stiff pieces of paper such as index cards or playing cards.

Pick up fine particles with duct tape, packing tape, or masking tape, and then use a wet wipe or damp paper towel.

Put all waste into the glass container, including all material used in the cleanup. Remove the container from your home and call your local solid waste district or municipality for disposal instructions.

Continue ventilating the room for several hours.

Wash your hands and face.

As a precaution, consider discarding throw rugs or the area of carpet where the breakage occurred, particularly if the rug is in an area frequented by infants, small children or pregnant women. Otherwise, open windows during the next several times you vacuum the carpet to provide good ventilation.

Thinking Outside the First Aid Box

I've noticed a couple of things about most of the first aid kits I have looked at; they are inadequate for survival situations. There just isn’t enough there to get you through a long term emergency where proper medical care may not be available. Even the higher priced kits, seem to me to be lacking sufficient depth, but they are a good place to start in building a more comprehensive kit.

Chances are you will be going to the kit more than once during the time you are waiting for things to get normal again and you don’t want to run out of something you really need. So get extra quantities of all the items in your first aid kit.

Not only do most kits have insufficient quantities, most of them do not have items that could save lives and relieve suffering. These items include treatments applied directly to wounds that can stop severe bleeding, potassium iodide tablets to protect you from radiation poisoning, and special bandages that control severe bleeding and cover large wounds.

You may want to go further than a basic kit and add some life saving items like small oxygen bottles that are easily transportable, a nebulizer to create medicated mists to clear airways. If you’ve got sufficient funds for equipment and training you may even want to purchase an AED automated external defibrillator. Some states require a doctor’s supervision for use of the AED. Another life saving item is the Epipin which is an epinephrine auto injector used to treat anaphylactic shock and sudden asthma attacks. Epipin requires a prescription in the USA.

Get extra prescription drugs that you normally take and those that you think you may need. It is often recommended by survival experts to have a store of antibiotics and strong pain relievers on hand. Some doctor’s will prescribe these medicines if you explain that you are building a survival first aid kit, other doctors may not see the need. This is a similar situation to going on a long sea voyage on a private yacht and doctor’s often do accommodate this need; some countries even require a sea going yacht to have these medicines. I do not recommend buying the drugs on-line although some people swear by it, the risk of getting a counterfeit drug or the wrong dosage is too great for me.

Herbal medicine is something I know little about so I’ll say very little. If you know something works for you that’s great, but keep in mind the herbs may interact with other medications and they may not work as well for someone else. I can say that eucalyptus works well for me in clearing bronchial congestion, but that’s the extent of my herbal knowledge.

I am not a doctor, nurse or EMT, so what I have to say in this article is only for the purpose of giving you some suggestions on how to provide better first aid for your loved ones when professional care is not available. Indeed consult with your doctor or other medical expert for advice in building your survival first aid kit. If you have someone with special needs plan ahead for that and do consult the experts.

Here is a list to get started with, and I don’t consider it complete by any means.
The more I research this subject, the more I learn. I am discovering new products and techniques that I never knew existed. Think about your needs and make up your own list and please be sure you buy more than enough of everything.

Human rights watchdog says Islamophobia on the rise in Holland

BRUSSELS, Belgium - A human rights watchdog groups says Islamophobia has increased dramatically in the Netherlands in the wake of terrorist attacks in Europe.

In a harshly worded report, the European Commission against Racism and Intolerance [paging Mr. Orwell] says even Dutch politicians have resorted to derogatory remarks about Muslims in recent years.

It says Muslims now are the subject of stereotyping [What, that they’re backwards believers in a religion that condones honour killings?], stigmatization [What that all of the terrorists these days are Muslim?] and frequent racist violence [no proof offered in the Report].

The report comes as the Netherlands is embroiled in a debate over what some Dutch politicians call an "Islamization" of the country [Too little, too late, perhaps?].

The Dutch have traditionally welcomed immigrants but put little pressure on them to embrace western values. [You reap what you sow.]

Now, some Dutch are saying that the country's multiculturalism and tolerance have provided a breeding ground for Islamic radicalism.

Fears of such radicalism crystallized after the 2004 murder of filmmaker Theo van Gogh for his movie "Submission," a fictional study of abused Muslim women with scenes of near-naked women with Qur'anic texts engraved on their flesh. [The fears, it seems, were quite justified; here is the Wikipedia description of van Gogh’s death: “Mohammed Bouyeri murdered Van Gogh in the early morning of Tuesday November 2, 2004, in Amsterdam, in front of the Amsterdam East borough office on the corner of the Linnaeusstraat and Tweede Oosterparkstraat, while he was bicycling to work. He shot him eight times with an HS 2000 handgun, and Van Gogh died on the spot. Bouyeri then cut Van Gogh's throat, nearly decapitating him, and stabbed him in the chest. Two knives were left implanted in his torso, one attaching a five-page note to his body. The note (Text) threatened Western governments, Jews and Ayaan Hirsi Ali (who went into hiding). Imam Fawaz of the as-Sunnah Mosque in The Hague gave a sermon several weeks before the murder in which he called Theo van Gogh, "a 'criminal bastard' and beseech[ed] Allah to visit an incurable disease upon the filmmaker." Yea, Allah gave van Gogh lead poisoning.]

Right-wing Dutch legislator Geert Wilders has generated widespread concern with plans to make an anti-Qur'an film portraying the religion as fascist and prone to inciting violence against women and homosexuals [ie: telling the truth].

"Islam has been repeatedly presented as a subculture and Muslims have been presented as the carriers of backward values, generally incompatible with democracy and the values of western societies," the report said. [The truth hurts don’t it?]

"In the period after the events of Sept. 11, 2001, and especially in the months following the murder of Theo Van Gogh, the Netherlands has witnessed a sharp rise in racist violence and other racist crimes, essentially targeted at its Muslim population," the report said.

It said Muslims have also been disproportionately targeted by state security policies.

The report said sweeping associations between Muslims and terrorism made in virtually all types of Dutch media - newspapers, radio and television - have aggravated Islamophobic views, which are increasingly becoming part of mainstream thinking [Finally, the Dutch have woken up].

The Netherlands is home to approximately one million Muslims, or about six per cent of the country's population of 16 million. Most are of Moroccan and Turkish origin.

The European Commission against Racism and Intolerance, an independent monitoring body, assesses racially motivated violence, intolerance and xenophobia in 47 European countries. The commission is based in Strasbourg, France. [Not Oceania?]

Along with concerns about Islamophobia, the commission's report on the Netherlands said anti-Semitic insults and Holocaust denial are growing more widespread. [One of the most popular selling books bought by Muslims is Mein Kampf]

"As an illustration, the word "Jew" is reported to be increasingly used as an insult and different aspects of the Holocaust are reportedly questioned in everyday situations, such as in schools," the commission said. [predominantly by Muslims]

Sen. Obama's autobiography is filled with "composite" characters, rearranged timelines, and fantasy events that never occurred. I read that twice in the Washington Post - read Richard Cohen's columns of Jan. 1, 2008, and March 27, 2007, for yourself.

There are more articles than that, by more authors than just Mr. Cohen, but I wanted to get started by saying that what follows isn't just something I'm pulling out of thin air. What follows is serious, documented, and not at all what those who want to write history about the election of the first so-called "African-American" president, want in the least to admit is true - and why its truth matters more than their desire to ignore the truth for the sake of their desire to write history.

While his shrill wife objects, the truth is that Sen. Obama's life, as he wrote about himself in his autobiography, is, in fact, nothing but a fairy tale. Again, don't take my word for it - read Mr. Cohen's, and others, articles about it.

If what Mr. Cohen writes are truths, then what Mr. Obama wrote are lies. It's just as simple as that.

Yet there is not one word from the "Last Bastions of Accuracy" that comprise our first-tier information enterprises about the complete lack of integrity Sen. Obama shows with his fictional life history. He lies, but his lies are swept under the rug by a groupthink mentality that is so desperate to regain leadership positions - as opposed to actual leadership programs to earn those leadership positions - that it ignores the truth that Sen. Obama lies - about himself, about his life, about his actions - and even about his racial composition.

I researched what follows for a NY daily of international reputation. It wasn't what I thought I'd find. I documented it, presented it to the Washington Bureau Chief, but was hardly surprised that it never saw ink. As you'll see for yourself, this is the political equivalent of a nuclear bomb.

I must pause very briefly to note usage of the word Negro in what follows: In all academic studies of race, the proper scientific word for the ethnic composition I discuss is Negro. For any who scream racist at its mention, I say take it up with the scientific community. It's not my word, it's theirs. I am using it in its proper scientific context.

Why is the fact that Mr. Obama is only 6.25% African Negro not reported?

Because to acknowledge it is to report this devastating truth about him: Mr. Obama is not legally African-American. It is impossible for him to be, in truth, America's first African-American president.

Federal law requires that to claim a minority status, you must be at least 1/8 of the descriptor, but for the sake of this article, I've converted it to a decimal fraction for easier comprehension. You must be at least 12.5% of the racial component you claim for minority status. Mr. Obama, claiming to be African-American, is half the legal threshold.

Again, to let it sink in: Mr. Obama is not legally African-American. It is impossible for him to be, in truth, America's first African-American president.

Yet claiming to be African-American is the soul and substance of his claim to fame. It is what he has used throughout his adult life to distinguish himself from other competitors. It is the ethnic identity he proclaims, and it is the ethnic identity he craves. Without it, he is just another mixed race Caucasian Arab with an African influence playing on his skin’s pigmentation.

But no matter what he craves, no matter what he has used to propel himself through life, no matter the racist presumption of seeing his skin and without question calling him black, the hard, cold, genetically inarguable reality remains: he is not an African-American.

Mr. Obama is 50% Caucasian, that from his mother. What those who want Mr. Obama to write history by becoming "America's first African-American president" ignore is that his father was ethnically Arabic, with only 1 relative ethnically African Negro - a maternal great-grandparent (Sen. Obama's great-great grandparent, thus the 6.25% ethnic contribution to the senator's ethnic composition.).

That means that Mr. Obama is 50% Caucasian from his mother's side. He is 43.75% Arabic, and 6.25% African Negro from his father's side.

Put another way, his father could honestly claim African-American ethnic classification. He was the last generation able to do so.

Sen. Obama could honestly say, "My father was African-American." Racist presumptions led an Ivy League admissions committee, and lazy "newspapers of record" factcheckers, to presume that if his father is African-American, then Sen. Obama must be African-American also.

But it doesn't work that way. Racist presumptions coupled with sloppy vetting don't turn a lie into the truth.

Sen. Obama is one generation too far removed from the ethnic African Negro input to make the same claim as his father, Harvard's Admission's stamp of approval notwithstanding.

As you can see for yourself, Sen. Obama's African-American ethnic claim, when properly researched and documented, is a lie.

The question no one wants to answer - particularly Mr. Obama and his supporters, is, "Why do you think he has an Arabic name? Why does his father have an Arabic name? Why does every ancestor on his father's side have an Arabic name?"

The answer is obvious: They have Arabic names because his father's side of the family tree is Arabic.

Need proof? Research the Kenyan records for yourself. You will find that his father was officially classified as "Arab African" by the Kenyan government.

But in America's current political climate, that truth is heresy; that truth is "an inconvenient truth." It is the political equivalent in our time to what Galileo's scientific pronouncements were in his time: it is true, but nobody wants to know the truth because the lie is so much more comforting.

That is why detractors of this truth will do everything to denounce it, except submit to the discipline of actually researching it.

There's a reason for that: it proves he is not sufficiently Negro to earn classification under American law as an African-American.

For Sen. Obama, telling the truth means he will give up all the accolades about being the first African-American president of the Harvard Law Review, an accolade that relies on a sleight-of-hand in job titling that changed the name of the top job from Editor to President.

If stated in its absolute truth, Mr. Obama was the second person of color to run the Review. He was beat to the Review's top spot by a true African-American about 60 years before Mr. Obama showed up for classes.

Again, a very inconvenient truth.

That is devastating in itself. The further effect is that Mr. Obama would have to convince Americans still reeling from 9/11, Afghanistan, and Iraq, that now is the time for America's first Arab-American president.

We all know what chance that has of succeeding.

Of course, that would only happen if Mr. Obama told the truth about his racial composition. To tell the truth means Mr. Obama will have to admit that which he has never been forced to admit before, even in the face of the massive lies of his autobiography: Mr. Obama's entire projection of who he is, and what he is, is a lie.

Mr. Obama would have to say to the world: "I am not what I've told you I am. I lied to you in my autobiography when I told you I am black. I lied to the Admission Committee at Harvard so I could get in. I lied to my constituents in Chicago so I could get elected to the State Senate. I lied to my constituents in Illinois so I could get elected to the US Senate. I lied to my supporters across America so I could be President.

"I have lied all during my life to play the race card, and use it, cynically, to advance myself by playing upon the racist presumption of Americans to accept, without question, that anyone of color is African-American. I lied to you, and you blindly accepted it, because of your own racist presumptions about color, and ethnic identity. I looked African-American, and your racist presumptions told you to believe it."

Even as you read this, the overwhelming majority of you will continue to believe it. Even as you know the truth, you will block the truth out of your mind, because you are bred to accept the racist presumption of color, and ethnic identity.

And so many of you reading this will create incredible mental gymnastics, telling yourself why the truth doesn't matter. You will lie to yourself because you want to believe the lie, and then curse the American body politic for being built on lies.

You will do this all while failing to tell yourself the truth that it is your lies, as much as any other lies, that are killing the body. You will commit the very action that you curse as the cause of America's demise, because you are jaded beyond recognizing in yourself the very same disease you so freely condemn in others.

Here is the truth about Mr. Obama's name, and his father's ancestors:

True Negro tribal members of western Kenya where his father was born have Christian names, not Arabic. His father's decision to name him with an Arabic name is a matter of his father establishing his ethnic identity in Africa - it is done deliberately to separate him from the African tribes. He may live among them, but he is not one of them. His father's message is that he is Arabic, not Negro.

Many will find these truths unsettling. I'm often asked, "But I thought his father was Kenyan. How could Mr. Obama not be African-American, how could his ethnic composition be so Arabic?"

The definitive clue to that answer is to look at his name, his father's name, and the names of all his ancestors on his father's side. They are all Arabic.

Researching his roots reveal that on his father's side, he is descended from Arab slave traders. They operated under an extended grant from Queen Victoria, who gave them the right to continue the slave trade in exchange for helping the British defeat the Madhi Army in southern Sudan and the Upper Nile region. Funny how circular is history; now the British again face the Madhi Army, albeit this time Shiite, not Sunni, as in nineteenth century Sudan.

But telling America's black community that while their ancestors were breaking the shackles of slavery, Mr. Obama's ancestors were placing those shackles upon their wrists would hardly play as an Oprah Winfrey best-seller.

Being the son of a poor Kenyan goat-herder plays much better than being the son of a highly placed Arab-African who operated at the top of the Kenyan government following his education at Columbia. You see, even the way he portrays his father is a lie.

We need to linger for a moment on Ms. Winfrey, and her support for Mr. Obama. A very serious problem arises with Ms. Winfrey because of her double-standards: Does everyone remember how she went ballistic when a person whose book she endorsed turned out to be dishonest about what he said about his life in his book?

Of course you do. She pulled the plug on him and forced him into a highly publicized "Mea Culpa" of near groveling for her forgiveness. She publicly humiliated him, and would actually twist-up into contorted faces, visibly hot with anger. ( James Frey and his book “A Million Lost Pieces”)

Why then does Ms. Winfrey operate with a double standard for Mr. Obama? She knows his so-called autobiography is replete with "composites" - an Orwellian word for fictional characters that never existed but in Mr. Obama's imagination, even though he addresses them in his autobiography as if they are real people. They aren't; they are lies.

So are his timelines, chopped up and rearranged for Mr. Obama's aggrandizement. And there are the complete lies about events he said specifically impacted his life - events that never occurred despite his writing that they did. They too are lies.

Why then does she not hold him to the same standards she held another author?

She doesn't say, but the possibility that the reason is race-based is fair to ask. What Mr. Obama did is far beyond what the other author did. Why then, public humiliation for one, but campaign whistle-stops for the other?

Ms. Winfrey needs to tell us why. Her integrity is on the line.

Mr. Obama has struggled all his life trying to prove that he is black enough to be called black.

The truth is that if Mr. Obama is elected, his primary ethnic composition is Caucasian, but of course, that carries no cachet.

So if we look at his next predominant ethnic component, Mr. Obama would be America's first Arab-American president. The truth is that his name says it all.

What amazes me more than anything else about Mr. Obama's heritage is the unwillingness of anyone in the journalism profession to want to know the truth. While all this is easily documentable, it is so radioactive that no one wants to be on the receiving end of the racist charges that will bombard whoever broaches the truth.

It is another example of how America's political system is further degenerating into fairy tales and lies. Torpedo boat attacks in Viet Nam, WMD's in Iraq, Sen. Obama is African-American; we shamelessly lie to ourselves to rationalize whatever we want to believe.

But I wrote this tonight because I'm tired of reading about "integrity" written by those who have none themselves. They know Mr. Obama's autobiography is filled with lies from start to finish, they know he lies about what his operatives do (the Apple advertisement knock-off against Hills immediately comes to mind), and for those who circulated my research, they know he is not legally black.

But for those longing for Camelot, for those who feel a good story trumps the truth, for those who are so jaded about others that they now live as those they profess to hate, for those who are terrorized by the racist attacks these truths bring, the integrity of Sen. Obama doesn't matter.

Because their own integrity doesn't matter to them either.

Why am I writing this? Maybe I just want a clear conscience, clear that the research I did didn’t get buried because the people who received it are afraid to tell the truth in the face of Sen. Obama’s frenzied celebrity status. I’ve been in the business since 1972 - 35 years - writing and researching for people like the NY Times, the Miami Herald, the St. Petersburg Times, The Jewish Information Network, so I know what it’s like on the newsroom floor right now. Nobody can dare speak against Sen. Obama without generating at least a flickering flame of doubt about his or her own sanity – not to mention the knee-jerk reaction that questioning him is indicative of some deep, dark, racist agenda spurring those questions on.

And truth? I ask as Pilate asked, “What is truth?” Who cares about truth? This is history; this is the first time ever in America – why let truth get in the way of chronicling history? (. . . I wrote facetiously.)

Maybe I just want to know that if he gets the presidency, he will get it honestly – if this is general knowledge, and he overcomes it. Maybe I’m just tired of presidents who lie to us; and in this case, I already know Mr. Obama will lie to us, just as he lied in his autobiography, and on so many other occasions documented by Mr. Cohen, by Michael Dobbs, the Washington Post’s factchecker, and so many others.

And maybe I’m tired of us lying to ourselves. Mr. Obama is what we’ve lied ourselves into believing he is.

Maybe by saying that I know he lied, and saying that we lied to ourselves, I will say after he is elected that nobody has any right to complain about him lying after he takes the oath of office, when everybody knew he lied about so many other things – when we lied to ourselves about so many other things, so very long before that.

Oprah Winfrey has said he is “The One”.

Obama has said: “This is it. We are the ones we’ve been waiting for, we are the change that we seek.”

He has also said: “[The people] want a sense of purpose, a narrative arc to their lives. They’re looking to relieve a chronic loneliness, a feeling supported by a recent study that shows Americans have fewer close friends and confidants than ever before. And so they need an assurance that somebody out there cares about them, is listening to them—that they are not just destined to travel down that long highway towards nothingness.”

He often greets the crowds that have come to see him by saying: “Good afternoon, believers!”; he asks undecided voters to raise their hands and says: “My job is to be so persuasive that if there's anybody left out there who is still not sure whether they will vote, or is still not clear who they will vote for, that a light will shine through that window, a beam of light will come down upon you, you will experience an epiphany ... and you will suddenly realize that you must go to the polls and vote for Obama” and he ends by saying: “The hour is almost upon you”.

People describe their reaction to his speeches as “spiritual”, “elevating”, “[the speeches] enmesh you in the grandeur of the moment”, “the triumph of word over flesh, over color, over despair”, and on and on. As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words....

Is Barak the Antichrist? [“...except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God”. 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4]

Perhaps he’s just the first Beast? [Oprah as the second Beast? “And [s]he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast....” Revelation 13:12]

As for the crowds who are wowed by him: “...and they worshipped the beast, saying. Who is like unto the beast?” and “And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blashemies” and “and power was given him over all kindred, tongues, and nations....” [Revelation 13:4, 5, 7]

TRUTH IS NOT A DEMOCRACY

Multitudes are under the assumption that democracy is the ideal system to eradicate society's problems, but it does seem that unbridled democracy has fallen short of its lofty goals. Of course, there are few other logical political systems of choice in the western world, even with taking into account all of democracy's pitfalls and deficiencies; far from ideal yet the only game in town, a status quo that leaves much to be desired. In any democracy, without fail, those who have obtained abundant wealth always seem to float to the surface, like a rubber ducky in Juniors bathtub, to garner a stranglehold on elected officials who see to it that their agenda is properly greased like the metal bearings on a carny Ferris wheel. But even the poor and working class are compelled to cast their vote for their own private special interests regardless of the fact that their needs could be harmful to the rest of the nation. As a result of democracy's snags and defects, there will always be those who will employ these favorable circumstances to take unequal advantage over the rest of the populace and there will always be those who are swindled via someones unjust advantage.
Playing politics is playing with fire--it's a no-win situation for the layman.

Politics is defined as the science of government. Government is defined as a system of ruling. Without divine grace our leaders are puppets beholding to the highest bidder, governing with smoke, mirrors and computerized graphics. They glory in their Hollywood produced images on TV and movie screens across the world, which intentionally mislead the masses. And we, the people, leave the movie theatre poorer as we emerge from the curtained darkness with sticky sneaker soles and the cloying stench of stale popcorn mingled with balcony baby vomit.

Vote with your soul, for those who may still have a soul.

Tuesday evenings, are bell-ringing nights, in the area where I live. Not that I notice them much these days. Twenty years of living in close proximity to a church has sort of hardened me to their repetitive peal. It is only on particularly quiet nights, with the window ajar, that I hear their distant tone and I am reminded of their significance in a country that is meant to be Christian.

Tonight is different. There is something strangely comforting about them, though I know that my comfort should not derive from something that is so quintessentially British, religious and traditional.

The hundreds of dotted spires and towers that mark the English countryside have always acted as landmarks to people, who over the centuries have gone there, possibly searching for some meaning and understanding. At times, whilst nudging for place on crowded concrete motorways, I glance over fields to see their towering force. They are always not far away. A reminder of the skill and craftsmanship that men often died for in their construction, to the glory of God.

Before I knew how to pray in my own room, I often visited the rooms of empty churches. There was something solid and stable there. I liked their quietness.

But things are changing in this pleasant land, and the background chime of Christianity is becoming an even more distant blot and on the landscape, possibly at the expense of being more considerate to others.

Oxford, the most visited, traditional and scholarly city in England is about to change.
Despite some fierce opposition, elders from an Oxford mosque are intending to go ahead with their call for prayer three times a day from loudspeakers across the spired skyline of this wonderful place. These plans will possibly completely change the very ethos and culture of middle England, displacing completely the very heart and spirit of what England originally stands for, possibly spreading to other towns and cities on this very small island. The competition of church bells, which have rung for centuries across a Christian landscape versus the loudspeakers muslin call to prayer will also create division.

It makes you think about prayer.

Ive noticed my own personal call to prayer is always un-announced. It is always private. Concession for time off from my work would never be allowed, but neither would I desire it, or make it ever known. My conscience often calls me to prayer. A quiet reminder to come away from the world to a quiet place. His voice never shouts, yet it is louder than any other.

I no longer need church bells to make me think of prayer, but neither do I want them to be drowned out. I like to hear them from my home. On quiet nights like this, you think of the people before who went there. Men going off to war, men coming back from war. People frightened, people sick. Christenings, weddings, funerals, Sunday school. People looking outside themselves, yes, but possibly just finding something inside themselves. Stillness, unobtrusive, quiet. A distant something.

If Britain were an inmate in a psychiatric hospital (and there is quite a bit of empirical evidence that it should be), the nation would be on 24-hour suicide watch. I say this after coming across this headline in the Sunday Telegraph: "Multiple wives will mean multiple benefits."

No, Westminster hasn't passed a law permitting bigamy. That is, unless you are a Muslim and happen to have acquired your harem before your British citizenship. It seems Gordon Brown's government will now allow Muslims with more than one wife to claim extra welfare benefits for each wife. That's called compassion. It is estimated that there are at least a thousand "polygamous partnerships" in Britain, so the ruling could cost taxpayers millions of pounds, depending, I guess, on the number of wives each immigrant in question want to bring with him. (Islamic law permits men to have up to four wives at any one time.)

Of course British officials have no way of knowing for certain the size of one's harem since there are no questions on the citizenship application or the census form asking which wife you are: wife number one, wife number two, etc. This would seem rather uncharacteristic of a nation that has been dubbed the "Surveillance Society," famous for its national DNA databases and ubiquitous surveillance cameras.

In the end, ministers from the departments of Treasury, Work and Pensions, Revenue and Customs, and the Home Office concluded that polygamy may be illegal in Britain, but what is more important is that it is legal in Third World (sorry, "developing") countries. So is torture and forced marriage and female genital mutilation, so presumably at some future date a progressive British government will allow British Muslims to torture and mutilate one another because it is acceptable elsewhere. Not that the government is likely to brag about it. Ministers refrained from announcing the decision publicly, naively hoping that no one would notice. Still, these things tend get out.

The decision was mostly a fait accompli anyway. By now your clever polygamist has figured a way round the system. He simply goes through a state-sanctioned divorce, which as a polygamous Muslim he likely does not recognize as legitimate anyway, and remarries -- often a gal from the old country who comes to Britain on a student or tourist visa or work permits. (Sorry, but the normal mother-in-law jokes don't apply when you are talking about ultra-submissive females, which is the opposite of the stereotypical rolling pin-wielding English housewife. Don't take my word. Ask Andy Capp.)

But even this ruling will not help one of Britain's most infamous Islamist extremists. Not long ago Omar Brooks, who once described the 7/7 suicide bombers as "completely praiseworthy," placed a personal ad on a Muslim marriage website seeking three more wives. Brooks, who goes by the alias Abu Izzadeen, has three children with his present wife. Even so, the 32-year-old Brooks steadfastly refuses to work, preferring to live off welfare benefits. Currently on trial in Britain on several counts of terrorism-funding and encouragement of terrorism, Brooks seems unable to entice three young Muslim gals to join his harem, regardless of how good a match he would make. Perhaps the fact that Omar is a British citizen and will thus receive no more benefits for his subsequent wives has something to do with it. Come on gals, who could be a better catch than an unemployed, soon-to-be convicted felon who hopes to die as a suicide bomber?

I SOMETIMES GET a laugh from perusing the reader comments following British news stories. For example there was this from Mike in New York commenting on the "multiple wives" story:

"Wow -- nicely done Labour! You are pretty much guaranteeing that the UK will either end up as a Caliphate or under some rascist (sic) British National Party regime - apparently there is no longer a middle choice. Good job Labour for surrendering like a ravening Frenchmen - and good job Tories for being a milquetoast opposition and abandoning basic conservative principals. You know your country is in trouble when only the freakish fringe parties are talking any sense."

Or this:

"Let us found a religion that allows everyone to have a Porsche and five houses and and... And then ask the state to pay for our religious needs..."

That the law of the land may be applied differently to one depending on his set of supernatural beliefs is the epitome of multiculturalism gone mad, though hardly surprising. Britain's progressives long ago stopped regarding Western civilization as a culture or society worth preserving. Secretly they feel such intense guilt over their colonial history that they have concluded it is best for the colonized to colonize them for a change.

Now then, who's got the next watch?

Food Needs a CDDSP

Food and water for emergency preparedness will need a Cool, Dry, Dark, Secure Place for long term storage. Once you find a suitable place, plug all the holes and cracks to keep out insects and rodents. Make sure the floor can handle the weight; water, canned and bulk food can be heavy, so a ground floor or basement is best. Avoid extremes of temperature and humidity which can shorten shelf life and damage many items. Store items off the floor a couple of inches if possible.

Be practical about what you store, no junk food, nothing with a short shelf life, nothing that isn’t nourishing food. You should have some ‘comfort food’ to keep morale up, but don’t store Doritos and Ding Dongs. A variety of foods is the best way to go, the same food over and over kills the appetite and lowers morale at a time when you need a lift the most. Fresh food from the refrigerator and freezer should be consumed first; if the power is out, of course it won’t last long. Then you can turn to your long term storage foods.

MREs or ‘Meals Ready to Eat’ is an ideal long term storage food. MREs are currently in use by our Armed Forces deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan. I’ve eaten a couple of them and they are not too bad, a little bland, but fairly nutritious. They come in a tough plastic bag with an inner liner of aluminum foil and polyethylene. I do think that after several days of eating them it would get pretty tiring. There is variety of meals available and that would help make them palatable. If kept in a good storage environment they will last at least 5 years and probably longer. Higher temperatures decrease shelf life considerably.

Drawbacks of the MRE are the relatively high sodium content. People who are on a restricted sodium diet will not want MREs. There have been complaints of MREs causing constipation due to a low moisture and fiber content. Drink plenty of water with the meal to offset this problem. Another drawback is the relatively high cost per meal at about $4. Despite the drawbacks, I think the MRE’s storability and nutrition value make them a good choice for a significant portion of your emergency food supply.

A caution when buying MREs is to take note of the date of manufacture, don’t buy MREs that have been sitting in storage for months, buy fresh ones. Buy from a known manufacturer such as Sopakco, MRE-Star or AmeriQual or their distributor. If you are able to get the official military version that is good, but make sure it is not just a bunch of parts thrown together from the original MRE packets. I’m quite sure some of the items are highly prized while others are unwanted and therefore made available for resale.

Canned goods are also an ideal item for long term storage of food. They will last for years on the shelf, although they will be somewhat degraded in flavor and nutrition after several months. Develop a system of rotating canned goods, using the older cans and storing newly bought cans behind the older ones. You can buy storage racks that make this process very easy. Get a wide variety of meats, vegetables, fruits, soups, and don’t forget the nuts. Also don’t forget to have a couple of good non-electrical can openers on hand. Bulk food is available in larger cans at a lower cost, but if you can’t refrigerate leftovers then there will be waste.

There are freeze dried and dehydrated survival food products available which have a very long shelf life and would offer a good choice along with MREs and canned foods. Some of these sound quite delicious although I have yet to try them. Keep in mind that they will require water, sometimes hot water. Dry packed grains and legumes will last a very long time and contain a lot of nutrition. Other items to store include iodized salt, cooking oil, shortening, sugar, honey, coffee, cocoa, tea, instant oat meal, instant pudding, powdered milk, herbs and spices, ground pepper, and the list goes on. I highly recommend a good supply of potent vitamin mineral supplements to help make up for the lack of fresh fruits and vegetables.

You know better than I do what you will need, the point of this article is to get you to think about having more easily storable food on hand in case of disaster or shortages.
You will no doubt be unable to go to the store once disaster strikes, the store will be closed and the shelves will be empty from panic buying or looting. Where I live the shelves get emptied quickly of bread and milk for a forecast of even moderate snow, how much worse for an impending disaster. But disaster often comes without warning and if you have your water and food already stored, you will have much less to contend with.

'The EMP Threat
and How to Deal With It'

The EMP or Electro-Magnetic Pulse was discovered after early nuclear
tests knocked out power and communications systems many miles away from
the test site. The government has conducted extensive research on EMP,
but since the cold war ended, research has been cut back and much of the
information is still classified. Hence good hard facts are scarce concerning the specific effects of an EMP attack. It is generally accepted that a major EMP attack would cause severe damage to our national infrastructure and to your own personal electronics as well.

An EMP attack would most likely occur as a powerful high altitude nuclear blast
over the central United States. Rogue nations with limited capabilities such as North Korea or Iran could launch an effective EMP attack. Other devices commonly called e-bombs some of which can reportedly be constructed with conventional explosives and easily obtained electrical components present a more localized threat.

EMP is like a radio wave in that it will penetrate some materials easily
and be blocked or attenuated by others. EMP is a pulse of electromagnetic energy rather than a radio wave, however high power microwave e-bombs are said to exist. EMP will arrive through the air in a line of sight pattern, but also a second, slightly delayed pulse will arrive over the power and phone lines and cable lines in some cases. Power and telephone lines will absorb a lot of EMP energy because they will act like very long antennas. This energy will then be dumped it into your power outlets and phone jacks. External antennas will also absorb EMP energy and the larger the antenna the more it will absorb.
Any large metal structure will collect or absorb EMP energy. If your cell phone survives it may be useless because satellites and ground stations may be out.

The amount of damage will depend on several things; the power of the EMP
device(s), the amount of shielding between you and the source, and the delicacy of the electronics are the main factors. Semiconductors and microcircuit chips are the most susceptible. EMP will damage your electronics even if it is turned off because the EMP induces an electrical current into any conductor it hits and in a matter of only a few microseconds it can burn out sensitive circuits. Personally, you will probably not feel a thing, unless you have a pacemaker or other medical electronic device, but your watch may be dead as a door knob.

The effects of an EMP attack could be hap-hazard and hit and miss, taking out some things and missing others. Partial shielding in steel framed or sided buildings or metal bodied cars could mean less damage to the electronics than in a wood framed house or a fiber bodied car. Your car might survive due to its metal body but that shielding has gaps, so maybe it won't, it's kind of dicey to predict. Also where the car is located when the EMP attack occurs will figure in. The electronics may be temporarily disabled and recover at least partially after excess electrical charges dissipate.

The good news is that it is fairly easy and inexpensive to protect your
survival electronics from EMP damage by using what is known as a Faraday
cage or shielding. The tin box that cookies sometimes come in is a
good example of what a Faraday cage is. Whatever is inside the cookie
tin has some protection from EMP as long as it does not touch the metal
of the tin. Put some foam rubber inside the tin, sit the electronics in
the foam rubber, close the tin and you have some protection from EMP.
Put that tin inside your metal gun cabinet or file cabinet and not touching the sides of the cabinet and now you have even more protection. It's all about shielding.

The Faraday cage or shielding is best if it made from a continuous fairly thick metal enclosure that is a very good conductor of electricity such as copper or aluminum. It ideally should have no holes or gaps in its surface and all sides should make electrical contact. That would be the ideal shield, but a lesser shield may be more practical and offer sufficient protection at least until a better shield can be procured.

A washer or dryer could be used in a pinch if it has metal on all sides, top and bottom. An old microwave oven would offer only partial protection because of the screen shield used in the front window which is tuned to filter out the microwave frequency of the oven, not EMP. As a last resort if nothing else is available and attack seems eminent, wrapping a cardboard box with aluminum foil in several layers is better than no shielding at all.
A Faraday cage can be as small or as large as needed. An entire house
could be shielded or just your cell phone. A small Faraday cage for EMP protection does not need to be grounded although some instructions call for grounding. The grounds in the electrical system of a house or even cold water pipes may become sources of EMP if the attack is very strong.

For Larger structures such as a garage, a good and proper earth ground would be needed but that subject is beyond the scope of this article. Microwave e-bombs which attack with a series of waves or pulses may penetrate all but the best shielding. The chances are at this point that these attacks would be directed to military targets and important infrastructure only.

Military equipment is to some extent already protected from EMP, but
probably most civilian equipment is not, so look for wide spread outages
of essential services; the power grid may be out for a long time, police
and emergency services could be severely hampered. Hospitals may lose
essential medical devices, radio stations may be off the air, phone
communications and traffic controls could be knocked out, etc.

In the event of such an emergency the HAM radio operators who are
knowledgeable about protection from EMP will be an invaluable resource.
It is imperative that your emergency radio receivers have short wave
bands so that you can tune in and listen for vital information the HAM
operators may be passing over the air waves. Also with these radios you
can listen to news reports from around the world. They should be battery
or hand crank powered, remember the power grid may be out.

Devices such as lightning arrestors or surge protectors that are rated
by their manufacturer to protect against EMP are a good investment, but
because we have never had an actual EMP attack these devices are
unproven in real world scenarios. Remember shielding is part of the
equation; these devices will not protect you from the airborne
pulse. A metal cabinet or chassis may or may not be adequate, and
remember any cable that attaches to your electronics or computer can
dump EMP into the equipment. Remember when looking at specifications that EMI or RFI shielding is not adequate for EMP although it may help in some cases. EMI and RFI are electro-magnetic and radio frequency interference.

The bottom line is; if it is essential survival electronics, keep it as well shielded as possible and disconnected from external power, phone, cables and antennas. That way it will be available when you need it most.

Water covers over 70% of the Earth’s surface. Of all the water on our planet 97% is in the oceans, 2% in the ice caps and glaciers, and only about 1% is fresh ground water. With all that abundance of water there is ironically a worldwide shortage of potable water. In an emergency situation, potable water is always a scare precious commodity. It is scarce even in flood disasters when there is too much water.

If you read all of the information from government, universities, commercial interests, survivalists, and relief organizations, you will find there are common practices in purifying and storing water. You would also notice that a few of the recommendations differ or are skipped over on the various sources.

I think one thing that is understated is the amount of water that should be stored. The accepted rule of thumb is 1 gallon per day per person for 14 days. That just about equals a 55 gallon drum for a family of four. Rarely is it mentioned that if it’s hot and/or work needs to be done, both of which are likely, then much more water will be needed. Also consider the distinct possibility that water service may not be back in 14 days. Will you need to share some water with a neighbor if they run out? I would say double at least the minimum amount if you are able to store it. The one gallon per day is a minimum amount needed. FEMA says do not ration water if supply is running low, drink the normal amount and search for more.

It is often not mentioned that certain protozoan microbes are not killed reliably by the often recommended hypochlorite bleach or iodine water treatments. Cryptosporidium in particular and Guardia are the two most common waterborne protozoan diseases, and there are others. These two parasites infect hundreds of thousands of people worldwide. In the USA these infections are rare, but there have been sporadic outbreaks. These germs cause diarrhea which leads to dehydration, couple this with possible lack of medical care and you have a very serious situation on your hands that could affect all consumers of the contaminated water.

Boiling for several minutes will kill all the protozoa, bacteria and viruses. That is a lot of water to boil, but better safe than sorry. Some sources say boil for 1 minute, some say 10 minutes at sea level and more for higher elevations. Personally I’ll go with a 10 minute boil just to be sure I kill all the bugs. If you are planning to store water and you are unsure about its purity or quality of treatment, by all means boil it.

If you have a high degree of confidence in your local municipal or county water source then you may opt to store the water right out of the tap. If it has already been treated with chlorine there is no need to further treat it. The treated water from these sources is periodically tested for protozoa as well. If you live in a locality that uses ozone or UV purification, then I recommend you treat it because the ozone and UV methods do not provide a lingering protection. You store treated water no longer than six months.

If you have to treat water, the household bleach treatment method is the preferred method. It is commonly recommended to use 8 drops of a pure 4 to 6% hypochlorite beach per gallon to purify and preserve clear water, double that for cloudy water. Some sources call for using as little as 2 drops per gallon, but that conflicts with my common sense, I’ll use 8. Let the treated water stand for 30 minutes, you should be able to smell the chlorine faintly after treatment, if not then repeat the process. Use regular household bleach such as Clorox, unscented, NOT color safe with no additives, or a comparable product. The bleach has a shelf life, it it’s a year old then double the amount of drops; better yet get fresh bleach. Iodine treatment is better than no treatment, but it does come with a lot of caveats such as, do not use longer than 4 weeks, do not use if pregnant or have a thyroid condition, do not use if you have sensitivity to iodine. That’s too many caveats for me; I’ll go with the bleach.

The best solution for drinking water storage is commercially bottled water that has been purified by reverse osmosis or filtered to absolute 1 micron pore size to eliminate the protozoa. Also distilled bottled water is a good choice. This water can be stored for a year, and rotated regularly with household use. It is a lot more expensive however to use bottled water. To offset the cost, you could use stored treated water for personal hygiene, cleaning, etc, and if needed as a backup drinking water source.
Water should be stored in containers approved by the USDA or similar authority. The most suitable containers are made of high density polyethylene. Avoid other plastics which can leach toxins into the water. You should have a variety of sizes, small ones to distribute water, medium (5 gal) to transport, and larger ones (55 gal) for bulk storage. When the 55 gal drums are filled they are very hard to move without help from an elephant. Glass has the serious drawbacks of being both heavy and breakable. Metal or porcelain tanks can be used but react with the chlorine and are subject to corrosion. Containers that previously held food or drinks can sometimes be used; 2 gal soda-pop bottles are often suggested, however milk jugs are not recommended because they breakdown over time and can leak, also the fat and protein from the milk is hard to remove completely and that can feed bacteria.

If the water is running low you may have to find additional supplies, maybe a tank truck will come around or maybe there is a river or pond nearby. There is also hidden water in your house in the pipes and the hot water heater, ice cubes, water in canned fruits, etc. Water from a water bed should not be used because of the presence of fungicide and the material the mattress is made from is toxic. Water from a toilet tank (not bowl) should only be used as a last resort and only if it has not been treated with a chemical cleaner. Also rain or snow collection is a real possibility as long as there is no possibility of contamination from radioactive fallout or chemical-biological attack.

Water from these alternative sources may need to be filtered and purified. In a pinch coffee filters will do a fair job of filtering although better filters are available and are highly recommended. Purification follows filtration, and then storage in clean, disinfected containers. First wash the container with a mild detergent, rinse well, and disinfect with the same bleach solution used in purifying. Prepare the containers before disaster strikes to avoid wasting water. Avoid opening containers once sealed unless you are going to use the water at that time, this will minimize contamination

Water is something we all take for granted, but when the supply stops, it suddenly becomes a precious commodity. It is absolutely essential to store water for emergencies. Remember that we can survive for a month without food, but only about 4 days without water for a healthy person.

On a recent holiday, I realized how easy it would be to fall into another way of life.
With an ocean apart, and a sunnier view, the ways and culture of another race, are often a very big temptation to the millions who wish to ignore, and indeed forget, their insurmountable problems. Diving into an entirely different culture can often eradicate a former life. To the foolish mind, that is.

Indeed, for many, the planning of a holiday is their only escape to something else. Before this Christmas season is out, adverts will abound for the sunnier climates of 2008. Looking forward to a planned vacation is an escape route from the pressure of modern day living and mounting problems and debt. Before this year is out, we will hear bountiful stories of the future plans of escapism. Possibly, the sales in travel agents may be higher, than those in the Christmas rush. Debt will increase, hope and optimism will be restored, all balanced on a finely tuned delicate plateau of falsehood.

The need to escape our problems is relatively natural. No one on the planet is truly happy. For a brief moment in time we can forget the darkness pursuing us. All of us, know we do it. Some, however, will go that extra step, and run into deeper depths and debt.

Such is the case of John and Anne Darwin. John Darwin has recently turned up at a British police station after faking his own death 5 years ago. Anne Darwin, his wife, has fled to Panama, after admitting that her husband had been secretly living with her all these years.

It is claimed that Mr Darwin decided to fake his own death, after he felt unable to cope with his debt problems. He then hid from his family and 2 sons. It is claimed that none of them knew he was alive; only his wife, who collaborated with him in the secret, and hid him in an upstairs room of the home when unexpected visitors arrived. It is also reported that she claimed from the life insurance policy.

His sons are angry they have been scammed by their parents.

If the sons were unaware of the scam, they now suffer from the embarrassment of knowing of the weakness of their father to face up to his problems, and the acute un-necessary grief their parents were willing to put them through.

It has possibly taken 5 years for the conscience of John Darwin to catch up with him, and the realization that his problems have never gone away. Anne Darwin is unfortunately still running.

Holidays are good, if we can see and know them for what they are. A change of scene, a rest from work, and some more time to spend together with family and friends and have fun. All of this can be achieved without a large amount of money.

Each year I hear my co-workers planning bigger and better holidays. Some are called extreme adventures. The excitement and danger of traveling in adverse and sometimes dangerous countries, gives some people a sense of aliveness. The simplicity of a small camping or caravan holiday within their budget no longer satisfies.

In the quiet moments of my own island adventure, I was fortunate to see that this world had nothing to offer me. Despite the magnificence of a landscape, the beauty of a calm sea, and the warmth of the sun on my back, I saw that their peace could not give me peace. It was momentarily and not sustainable without the inward peace that God can give us.

There was a time I thought I was ungrateful for not entirely enjoying a vacation. The same darkness I sensed at home would follow me, no matter where I went. Whilst family or friends were seemingly living it up, a strange longing and detachment, would wash over me. I could never completely abandon myself to this pleasure.

This curse, has turned into a somewhat painful blessing. The pain of a small cross I carry is eased by His graciousness towards me, because I have not totally run away, inwardly or outwardly. I can see that someone is carrying the heaviest part of my pain and shame.

With this, I can enjoy a holiday for what it is, and return, not having to plan another escape. Freedom will hopefully come to the foggy isle of Britain.

There is no need to ever hide in an attic. No need to run, wherever we are. The practice of Being Still, no matter where we are, or what we have done, results in a journey to another world, that has been waiting for us. Contrary, to what skeptics claim of religion and prayer, true prayer is not a form of escapism. There is a pain in facing up to our own shortcomings and faults.

John Darwin will have his sympathizers, as will his wife, who decided to short cut their problems, rather than face and deal with things. Had he been still, the answer and action would have come to them.

We live in dark and misty waters in our mind, no matter our physical location. If we are prepared to see them, rather than hide, or dive into another sunnier culture or place, the clouds will part. Sunnier climates await us. Be Still and Know...

We as a nation just went over the $9 trillion debt level, and we're moving to 10 pretty fast. Don't worry, if we get near the limit, Congress will step in and raise the limit, no problem with that. Your share as an American citizen is only a little over $30,000. I'm sure that won't be a problem if you happen to be a multimillionaire. Most of us aren't, but hey no worry, the dollar will soon collapse and be totally worthless, then you will owe nothing. Its easy man!

One of our loyal conservatives, Senator DeMint argued on the Senate floor that Senators had not even had time to read the 3500 page bill before voting on it. Senator Durbin countered that Senators had a over 48 hours to read the bill, so there should be no complaint. Think about it.
The bill is 3500 pages of legal documents, how could anybody properly read and analyze this in 48 hours? Take out some time for sleeping and eating and what is left?

Is Durbin nuts or is this the careful consideration he gives all legislation? Is that any way to run a congress?

Remember that old saying from a bygone age, "as California goes, so goes the nation." Lets hope it is no longer true because California is a sinking ship listing to port and taking on water.

There is a 14 billion dollar deficit in the state budget in which spending has risen 40% under governor Schwarzenegger while revenues have risen less than 30%. This from a governor who replaced a recalled governor who was also driving the state bankrupt! With Republicans like this, who needs Democrats? The way things are going Californians will soon be nostalgic for the days of Gray Davis.

The prisons are overflowing to more than double the capacity they were designed to hold. That's expensive but is there money to build new prisons?

The cost of welfare has got to be back breaking and illegal immigrants make up a significant portion of that cost. LA County Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich recently announced that illegals had collected over 20 million in welfare benefits in July 2007 alone, multiply times twelve. Total welfare costs for July were 35 million, so the illegals are getting the greatest share of the loot. People who shouldn't even be there. I wonder what the share for the genuinely needy people is and I also wonder how much better their benefits could be if only legal recipients were in the program.

The governor is planing to auction off state functions to private interests which in the short term will relive the budget crisis but leave vital parts of the state government in the hands of profit seeking bankers with monopolies over state services. How crazy and desperate is that? Will the entire nation go this way?

Of course as we all know California has always been at the vanguard of progressive change, problem is the vanguard has sailed off a cliff and the rest of the states are following like a herd of lemmings. Tightening up emission standards to save the world from Global Warming at a time when fuels costs are going up and up, instituting socialized medicine with new taxes that will choke off economic growth, raising the minimum wage which increases unemployment and thus the welfare costs go up and revenue goes down, and the list goes on.

Californians ask yourselves, is it time for another recall? Save the nation, show your traditional leadership of realistic progress and idealism. Don't let 'California Dreamin' become a nightmare for us all.

If You Lose Your Country, What Else Really Matters?

After much observation of the candidates, it has become clear to me who the next President of the United States needs to be. As we face what could be the most important vote of our time it is important that you give careful consideration to who you select for President. Look abroad, the storm clouds are gathering and our enemies are many. Among them are a large group of radicals who do not understand reason, they can only be stopped with force. Even more disconcerting, are our enemies within. Our country is being divided. After 9/11, I was heartened by the way our nation came together to fight evil. However we have done nothing to stem the tide of illegal immigration across our borders. Have we forgotten that those men who carried out 9/11 were illegal immigrants?

I could recite a long litany of problems caused by our porous borders. In the interest of time, let me stick to the most glaring issue; Security. Do you really think that Hispanics are the only people coming across those borders? Just recently in Vermont, they arrested a North Korean, and a Pakistani. Do you honestly think they were here to work? How many laborers do you think can afford to pay $25,000 to $50,000 to be smuggled across the border? Our border patrol agents are being out gunned by drug runners, and worse. There is evidence that even the Mexican Military has fired on our agents. Americans are being kidnapped along our southern border, property owners along the border fear for their life. This is not the work of innocent workers coming across for a better life. The liberals and the media would have you believe that, they also want you to believe that there are too many here now and there is nothing you can do to get rid of them. I don’t believe them, if you and I stand our ground, if we unite, there may still be enough time to save our country. That’s right, save our country!

Look around you; while you were busy taking care of your family, working long hours to make ends meet. To busy with your own life to see what was happening. You have been losing your country. Ask yourself, why are we paying to educate people in a language other than English? Then ask yourself why you scrape and scrape trying to pay college tuition while illegal immigrants are getting free or discounted tuition. While you stretch to pay high health care, many illegal immigrants are getting free health care. Why are you paying to put up signs in Spanish? Why do you have to press 1 for English? This is America, we speak English!

All we are asking for is that our laws, already on the books be enforced. We want a President who will uphold the constitution. We want a man who will say what he means and do what he says. A man who we can unite behind, as one nation under God. There is a candidate in this race who is passionate about illegal immigration. He recognizes that this is the greatest danger facing our country. If we do not stop this flood now, we won’t have a country left. That man is Tom Tancredo. He had the courage to speak out when illegal immigration was not a popular subject. He has been man enough to go toe to toe with the liberal media, and the liberals in government. He even took on President Bush. We need a President who isn’t afraid to stand for what is right. A man, who is willing to risk his political career speaking up, because it is the right thing to do for the good of the country. Aren’t you tired of politicians who say what they think you want to hear? Tom Tancredo is sincere, honest and determined. He has the integrity for the job. But, you say, he is just a one issue candidate. That is not true; Tom has very strong conservative values, and the voting record to back that up. He has good ideas on what our country needs for the future, and the will power to make that happen. However his main issue is the most important issue we face today. After all, if you lose your country,
what else really matters?

A lot of us here in NY so agree. Tancredo is the ONLY one that isn't pandering. The news and papers aren't going to admit it. He's got a simple story, 'Save this Country'.
For those that think Tom is only strong on illegal immigration remember, all presidents have a wall of advisor's that establish the facts from Government intelligence and give recommendations that the President will then decide on. Hope no one thinks Bush comes up with all this strategy.

Like many Independents, I'm leaning toward voting for Tancredo. Despite being a Democrat for 30 years, and Green for 8, I don't find Tancredo's overall candidacy too
objectionable. My main beefs with him might be budget/taxation and Social Security
privatization. If the government would raise taxes on the Super Rich AND get rid of the
illegal alien dead weight, we 'd be OK without messing with Social Security.
Having checked Tancredo's "stance" as his website calls it, I agree with a surprisingly large % of his positions. I would suggest that Democrats who don't have
their heads up their you-know-whats on immigration, take a look at Tancredo's website
and review it objectively. If Tancredo were to announce that he was interested in having a Democrat running mate, that could energize and popularize his up-to-now
rather weak candidacy. A good choice would be Senator Byron Dorgan (North Dakota)
whose leadership in defeating 2 amnesty bills, and his many appearances on Lou Dobbs Tonight, as a strong and active opponent of illegal immigration and NAU, have me convinced he could be a fine president.

As for the democrats, since there are no Lieberman’s or Zell Miller’s in the group. I don’t feel that any of the democrats would defend our country, or be loyal to our constitution. Not ever being content with what we have, the fearful and damaged heart always craves for more. Men and Women know what they want, and they will strive at any cost to get it. The hunger of our desires is deep, and regardless the cost, there is no money, no person, or God that will get in our way.

The gift of a child was once considered to be just this. Families would thank a supreme being for their fortune. It was not unusual at one time for the parents of a newborn to immediately thank God for a life. Thanksgiving services for childbirth were once the norm. Gratefulness abounded, but then so too did sadness.

In todays society, things have changed; we live in a divided nation. Social engineers have supplied the counterfeit answer to all our despair and problems. We are no longer required to have faith, or call out for comfort from an all knowing God and Saviour. Today, it is our human right, to have what we want, when we want it, and exactly to the right size and specification.

IVF treatment has given thousands of couples the opportunity of a child, removing the disappointment of being a childless family; and now with the re-definement of what a family is, IVF treatment is available for same-sex couples, and similarly, single mothers, creating a new normality of what parenthood is.

In a new bill that is being proposed in the UK regarding human fertilisation and embryology, our perceptions are about to be changed and taken to a whole new much lower level. It is being proposed that sibling babies can be produced via the use of IVF to supply the much needed cure and remedy for children who may suffer from heredity disease or else the possibility of organ donation.
And if all of this may sound quite alien to some, the current law has already allowed a handful of couples to use IVF procedures to select embryos which are a genetic match for an older sibling with a life-threatening disease.

Stem cells are taken from the infant's umbilical cord blood and infused into the older child. With the new relaxed laws that are about to be proposed, the need for this procedure would be able to go further. A new manufactured baby would be created for any future possible medical problems that may arise.

In a recent article in the Daily Mail IVF expert Dr Simon Fishel, head of the CARE Fertility Group, welcomed the new legislation.

The article states:-

He predicted saviour siblings would soon be used to treat children with various forms of anaemia and could eventually help those with other conditions.

"You might start looking at organs," he said.

"Suppose you have a family with a gene for polycystic kidney disease.

"If they are going to have another child they could use these techniques not only to ensure that it does not suffer from the condition, but also use tissue typing just in case.

End Quote.

It is interesting to note that Dr Fishel has given these manufactured babies a wonderful title, that of a Saviour Sibling. No matter the title of these poor children that are to be manufactured to help save the life of another child, the realization that you were produced to merely supply a spare part to a much wanted brother or sister, is a horrible realization that transcends any such grand notion of being a saviour.

Living in an insulated world, minimizing the risks to our health, never has or never will be one hundred percent foolproof. No matter our diet, our lifestyle, or the longevity of healthy ancestors, life can never guarantee or predict the day we will die.

Though medical science can produce a healthy clone or store blood tissue that can possibly help another, surely this should not mean that this type of breeding of a manufactured child should ever be allowed or even considered.

We claim to care about children, but to what expense and extent do we care, if we do not care about the soul; what mentality do we instill in the next generation if we view human life as a mere commodity.

Children suffer today through lack of real love. For many, children are already an accessory, farmed out to nurseries before they can even walk, wearing designer clothes, and with the best that money can buy, they are already a commodity often used and abused by those who say they care. For some parents, they are produced to fill a lack of love in their own needful heart. Babies are often a toy, discarded and neglected, once the reality of demand, care and expense comes to light.
Human rights, are inhuman. Gratefulness is missing from hearts that are already bleeding with the pain and absence from a loving creator. He knew us before we were born, knows every hair on our head, the day we are born, and the day we will die. Surely it is not the number of years we live here, but the character, nobility and grace we develop whilst we are here.

Treating our fellow man as a commodity, a pawn on a chess board to be moved around for our own gratification or well being, can never come into the equation. God help those people who think they can create the alternative Saviour.

When you think about it there isnt really much the human race can be proud of.
We put men on the moon forty years ago and but havent been back since. We found cures for many diseases, but if we lived our lives in the right way we wouldnt be so sick in the first place. Weve built magnificent buildings, some thousands of years old, built to such exacting standards that were not quite sure how they managed it. Maybe God had a hand in it, do you think?

One thing weve done very well is build weaponry. We have enough weapons to kill every living thing on Earth. Maybe God will intervene before we totally destroy his creation. I can not say why God gives us such free reign, I guess He loves freedom.
One thing is clear, mankind does not love freedom very much. Mankind seems to love enslavement as much, or more. The opportunity for freedom has been available to him, but he slides back into slavery. He chooses slavery at the ballot box or he subjects himself to slavery by his weakness.

Man cant seem to help himself, he keeps trying to put God back on the throne but he substitutes a mere man in His place and disaster always follows. We have seen that many times, thats how Hitler came about. Today we see the same process in Venezuela, the rise of the enslaver with the willing consent of the soon to be enslaved people. Once enslaved the horrors begin, the real torturing, the murdering, the unspeakable happens.
Need I mention the Holocaust, the killing fields of Cambodia, and list goes on and on.

We see it also in America. The rise of Nanny Government that knows what is best for you and will make you behave even if you dare to think you might know better. It will define what is right and wrong, never mind what God has said, God is disallowed.

You will have government health insurance and you will follow the treatment plan or else. You will pay taxes to the extent that you will not be able to advance beyond the economic caste that was laid out for you by the government schools. This will be called prosperity. You will hear both sides to every issue, mandated by government fairness doctrine, whether you want to hear it or not. Never mind that there actually may be more than two sides, there is officially only the conservative side (republican) and the liberal side (democratic), all other sides are officially lunatic fringe.

You will pay for decades into an imaginary retirement fund that earns no interest and is subject to the whims of economic upheaval and political turmoil.
You will gradually vote more and more of your sovereignty away in a desperate attempt to survive until the voting machine becomes a quaint reminder of past ages.
If there is freedom left anywhere on the planet, the leader, will soon enough have you marching off to war to stamp out that troubling threat to his or her godhood.

While theres still a chance, make the choice that will free you and your descendants.
Vote for less government and lower taxes. Vote for freedom to speak your mind without government approval. Vote for the right to keep and bear arms. Vote for the right to accumulate wealth and pass it on to your heirs. Vote to keep those that are not legal voters off the voting rolls. Vote to protect the innocent unborn children who should be safe in the womb. Vote to put the Christian God back into your government. Then maybe we will have a chance to please God and have him smile on us once again.

Two days ago I placed a Tancredo for President sign on my property… the very next morning my neighbor had their Hillary for President sign posted. Coincidence? Well, one could make a case for that after all it is election season, but as I have gotten older I have come to some conclusions that make a case against coincidence. Perhaps you, as well, know someone who is voting for Hillary and likely voted for Bill before that. Maybe that person is even in your family. I know of someone in my family who plans on doing just that. The question is why! Is there logic in this choice?

The next paragraph in a typical commentary piece would be to make several sober observations about Hillary’s (and for the most part all democratic) positions. And then one would proceed to make cogent points political points going up and down the line on the issues….health care, Iraq, social security…etc and why she is wrong. That is what the top names in the news business do. That is what the talking heads do. Turn on any station and it’s all the same…all of it. Aren’t you tired of this? The problem I have with it is that it’s all wrong. You got it right. I said it’s all wrong. The big names are wrong in how they handle it. That is why it all sounds the same to you and after you say yes I agree and give them a rating point…nothing happens. Nothing.

What motivates the Hillary’s of the world and their supporters is not common sense on the issues. And that is why listening to the talking heads only goes so far…they make great points but even they don’t understand the real issue. Although I will say that they are coming around a bit the more they get attacked. Hillary, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Mr. Murtha and so many more are actually un-American and operate out of hate and resentment. Did you hear that on the news programs?

Oh boy…still reading? Yes? Ok, so read on. I do grant one caveat to the supporters of Hillary. Sadly that one caveat is ignorance. The problem with granting that one excuse is that they live in a country where enough information finds its way to each of us that ignorance should be short lived. When it isn’t we can move on to the most common category. Forbid that they do see that truthful information that exposes people like Hillary because then we get to witness what these people are really made of. Sadly enough, you dare not point out any truths about Hillary to them else they become resentful and volatile. That is when your relations with them can come to an abrupt end…that is if you actually stand up to them. Most people back off….you know the old saying…do not discuss religion or politics. The trouble with that out dated and morally weak position is that if you are sober minded and wise in the ways of the world you see that you have given in and given over your own authority…and it is a terrible example to ones children to demonstrate that you are a peace at all cost person. So if that is what you want to do, then just go get drunk or reach for the TV flipper or grab a cigarette to take your mind off who you really are.

Now, having dispelled the ignorance position in supporting what everyone should already know about Hillary, we really have to get back to just why her supporters do just that…support her. Even that statement for a sober minded person is an incongruous act. Support? Hillary? Perhaps it is less about support of her than attempting what is wrong in themselves that requires a figure head to rally around to unite themselves against you and what sobriety of mind and soul that you possess.

Remember, I told you that most people would attempt to go down the list of issues and make their political points. I place before you that this is a waste of time. Because to debate or argue the points of common sense immediately demonstrates to the other side that they have equal footing with you. How can truth and non truths have equal footing? So why debate with them? Folks, no one in my house has equal footing with me when I see what I see and know and believe what I see is right. And anyone in my house stating a belief that Hillary should be president will be asked why….that courtesy is based on the fact that they are a guest in my home. At that point I will relate to them that which we never hear about on society because we have become a nation of weaklings….backbone-less people undeserving of our forefathers and the soldiers defending us today.

What I will point out is the real reason that people support Hillary…so imagine yourself using these words on a Hillary supporter….since you are likely not already doing this.

I would ask them if they have spent time observing the candidiate and since that is most always an affirmative, it becomes incumbent upon me to point out to my guest that they are ignorant of the issues or angry about something. People do not cotton to being told that and you get the usual resentful look…the offended look. But you need not be moved by this. This IS part of what is wrong with these people. Further I will point out for you to note that this is also evidence that they are mentally imbalanced by force of anger hidden beneath their polished smile and happy in front of you demeanor. Fear not, you are just getting down to some fun.

Here is where you point out what you are now seeing to them ( right to their face ever so calmly)….which is intolerance and denial for your insights. Oh my, that is a big one because these people are very keen to think of themselves as fair….balanced, best of all enlightened! Did I mention that they see themselves as more enlightened than you? It’s a facade and you need to be ready for this. Give them no ground…..yet always be ready to be their friend if they come to their senses by your standing up to them ( no one else does) because they essentially as I said are ignorant, but they also may be trapped in thinking by force of hypnotic culture that pressures them to give up their soul in order to make it in the world and be accepted. Then at some point they begin defending what they have become because as we all know…ego’s cannot be wrong. You see the ego in people is a powerful thing. And it needs to be broken. And you have a duty to offer to help break them of their slavery. You have a duty to stand up and disagree with the commonly held belief in the preposterous. So point out that they are in stages of ignorance or of a non sober mind. You must speak up. Do it with a smile.

Now, in the interest of describing the supporters of people like Hillary you must understand things rarely spoken about. And this is where the religions of the world and I cite Christianity and Judaism as two of the principles who have failed in their duties to explain this. So I begin in their stead. Resentment, jealousy of good manly authority, ego, pride and anger against seeing these very things are all the factors that keep Hillary supporters what they are….Hillary supporters. Again, this is what you must point out to your family members and friends. And it is also what you should feel free to point out to Hillary supporters who visit your home or domain. Think about it…..if you are not standing in contrast then you are not standing at all.

Normally, people who consider themselves fair and enlightened by self appointed status actually are bullies who use very feminine tactics to get you to just shut up. Isn’t that Ironic! Why is this? Because they can get away with it and largely because people, probably you as well, are unlearned in the ways to defend yourself and your beliefs. You get fazed and often doubt yourselves because you want to be thought of as fair…..you’re a fool.

Hillary supporters will leave you with fewer freedoms…you know that. They will leave you with abortion…you know that. They will leave you with higher taxes….you already know that too! We could go on. See! This is why I pointed out early on that there was no point going this route. But because most of you have little faith in what you intuitively know, I had to revisit it just one more time to bring you back around. Just when will most of you get it thru your thick heads that Hillary supporters hate what you believe in. This means they hate YOU.

If you are like me then you consider yourself fortunate because my family all vote the way I do. Congratulations. BUT! What of the house that is our country? Don’t you and I have a duty to speak up to the people within our borders who hate us, who resent what we believe because they want to be free to be wrong? They say they don’t hate us..if you believe that then ask them what their faults are…..after you watch them attempt an answer, or should I say evade the answer, compare it to what you really see about them. Ego’s have trouble with that question. It is at this point that you may finally realize that you are looking at the living dead….they may share your blood, your last name, or just the air you breath. Means nothing. They are the living dead who tell you that you can believe what you want but they themselves will vote in all kinds of laws and rules and taxes that prevent you from doing just that!. Do I need to point out laws and rules that prevent you from believing in public what you actually believe? You have to hide in your room to live what you believe and this is America!

Hillary supporters believe in resentment, envy and jealousy. They are mentally imbalanced people in need of help and in the worst cases they are traitorous. Do you see that?

Thus far I am not impressed by your lack of wisdom aquired at your age. Hey one other thing Ron...to alter a famous person's line....I feel your hate and resentment.....Thanks :) It is no longer amazing to me how some people will hold so deeply onto their resentments that they will suspend common sense in order to maintain and protect their fallen state. Nanci....that is what life is all about...seeing and learning and then being mature enough to say, hey i made a mistake but no more. Others like ron above wallow in misery and want you and I to stay down with them. By the way, as far as I can see the democrats have only one person who has remained true to what democrats used to be known for...and that is Joe Lieberman. They ought bring back Zell Miller too! We also remember the 3,859 soldiers from the USA and 253 soldiers from the UK who since 2003 have died carrying out their duties in Iraq and Afganistan.

The Survival of a Heterosexual Father

I am neither of the above (I am married, female and have no children) but I feel really strongly about this topic.

The spiritual connection between fathers and their children is under a great attack. Our human father may not be perfect but under the current climate of change there is no need for a father at all. It is as though powers below! are trying to eradicate the need for a father. Women can do it all, raise children on their own, adopt, have careers, make more money then men, be independent and go crazy with "girl power". Who needs a man? Times have moved on we can do it better ourselves!

Evil has used women to think that they can have it all without men, children with different men, children out of wedlock, single women having a child and a man does not even have to be involved or have taken part in the process! I have heard quoted they don't need their father I can be both mother and father - they will need for nothing. How wrong can they be.

I am from the United Kingdom and have been reading with interest what is going on in California with the new anti-discrimination bill the SB 777. The idea is to take away terms like mom and dad and traditional family values as we have to embrace all different lifestyles as some children may have two dads some may have two moms etc it would be unfair to discriminate. This coming from a man who made money in films such as Kindergarten Cop - protecting a young boy!

How terrible and cruel we are to hope that a child is raised in a caring and loving family with a mother and father and good family values. How old fashioned and out of touch with reality we must be. As we are told love is love - regardless.

Women have been tricked and used all them years back when it became accepted and not frowned on to be pregnant out of wedlock, women's right to chose abortion etc. Bit by bit it didn't seem too bad however, the door was open. The agenda may not be fully known for years to come but it is not good. I know that unfortunate and unexpected things happen to people but the right understanding has not been used. In fact the bible has all of the answers. The bible is there as a protection for women not to enslave you. Evil has used the situation for what it wants.

I came across an article in a free newspaper for men's razors (of all things) and you can view the internet commercial on You Tube it is called The Fight for Kisses. It is dreadful. Most people think it is funny and harmless but it is trying to change your concept. It is about a baby who has its mothers love and the father is jealous until the man can have a smoother shave and takes the mothers love from the baby. The baby then trains to take on the father and there is competition between them. I find the idea so sad.

I could write pages on this as it leads into so many other areas.

I am aware that perfection does not exist in families even with a mother and father, I certainly have not come from a perfect family myself. However I am lucky to understand that there is a perfect father who I can go to (who has waited patiently for me to come back) and with understanding I can forgive what has been done to me and live my life in a way which does not bond me to humanly mistakes but be free and not pass wrongs done to me onto others. I am currently a work in progress so to speak. Your human father should be a good example and lead you to your heavenly father. I know this does not always happen but if you belong to God you will find him. I am in my early thirties and am grateful that I know where to look as the world does not have the answers I am looking for. Evil does not want you to have either a human father or spiritual father.

PS: anyone noticed that the Lords Prayer is wonderful and that when you say it the words are in plural "Our", "Us", "We" but when referring to God they are singular "Father", "Thy". It is revealing in that there is One God but the prayer is for Gods people - it makes me feel not so alone in the world.

Since I live in a TV market such as that of Boston’s I woke up today to hear Massachusetts’s Governor Deval Patrick yelling (as best he can in his feminine way) about the attributes of Barack Obama. Soon thereafter it was Obama’s turn to whip the crowd into an emotional frenzy with more yelling. His efforts were on the sophomoric side at best. I raise this issue because having grown up in the Ted Kennedy era I have been witness to many so called rousing speeches by the famed senator from the Bay State. So *rousing speeches* catch my attention and I take note of their impact. What is the reason that politicians employ this approach to campaigning? Why all the yelling?

I can recall in the early seventies being a young teen and attending a parade down Broadway in Everett Massachusetts in which Ted Kennedy was the well respected highlight of the parade walking down thru Everett’s section of the old Rt1. People were cheering and so excited to see the famous brother of Jack and Bobby. Here he was in our small city, north of Boston shaking hands of my friends, neighbors and city brethren. I took note of the exceptional excitement and everyone’s rush to reach in and push their way to the front of the parade line to get a chance to shake his hand. I was naturally curious even if I was wondering what was so big about shaking a man’s hand. So being the somewhat adventurous person that I am and knowing full well the proper techniques to negotiate my way to the front of a crowd, I employed those techniques with the best of those in that mindless mass….soon Teddy was getting closer to me….and immediately I sensed an energy that did not come from within me.

As he came closer, I noticed the desire to become like those around me…excited. The desire to put on a happy smile for someone I really did not know was interesting and I took note of it. When he was just a few feet away I put my hand out like everyone else was doing to shake his hand….there it was, my hand was out. I thought to myself …am I getting a gift here? Is there something I should be expecting? Why was this temptation to be excited visiting upon me? He reached out grabbed many hands and he seemed all on top of the world. Wow, who wouldn’t like that, I thought. But at the same time I was noticing that all these feelings and emotions were not coming from me. But the watching was! So I continued to watch and then extended my hand to the Senator. Our hands clasped, shook briefly. Immediately I noticed several things. He was not shaking my hand….he was shaking people’s hands, anyone’s hands and getting a great rise of emotion out of it and I felt something try to leave me but I would not let it by way of simple watchfulness….it was very impersonal, yet the crowd was gripped in an emotional high. Also, I immediately noticed a temptation from without to enjoy and immerse myself in that excitement and get a high. But my watchfulness told me there was something wrong going on here. My hand even felt a bit dirty. And there was a temptation to resent it. How odd I though…resent my own hand?

I backed out of the very well pressed together crowd and watched Kennedy move up the line…the excitement moved along with him and the line. I sensed a violation. But what could this violation be? It was just a simple handshake was it not? In truth what I was seeing was a separation going on in the people around me….a separation of their own independence and an emotional frenzy replacing it with a sense of pride and feelings that took the place of logic and common sense. What man is so wonderful that his handshake could grip you like this I wondered.
Just in writing this I think those that are outside of Massachusetts who have wondered how an insane liberal like Teddy Kennedy could be elected so many times……well now you have it…It is all emotion based. Can you think of another leader who, granted is at an extreme, led by emotion, passion and energies of hate? How about Adolf Hitler? How about leaders of communist parties who constantly tout their leader’s picture and words over loudspeakers?

Now think back to the one leader in the US who many of us witnessed that did not employ any of these factors. Think of a man who hoped that he appealed…yes he used that word “appealed” to the best in us. Appeal means to be asking for…..His name was Ronald Reagan. And to all the democrats yelling and screaming and trying to win the populace over. We knew Ronald Reagan. And none of you are Ronald Reagan.

For a politician to really respect you they have to appeal to you in a manner which understands that you have your own sober mind. They would never think of the need to yell in a speech in a manner that divorces you from your inner voice that gives you all the watchfulness that you need for that moment.

No for a politician to utilize the rabid speech patterns of a Ted Kennedy and copycats like Deval and Obama and even Hillary we must understand that deep down they are bullies. Bullies in sheep’s clothing who seek create an atmosphere mob rule and mob pressure like the one I was30+ years ago are actually trying to violate your sovereignty. Yet they do not see it because they love the power and much like Ted was getting while glad-handing the crowd, they get a rise of emotion and self induced stature. But it is ill gotten stature and it is no wonder that Teddy drank and that Ronald Regan did not. No, my yelling and emotionally frothy politicians, none of you are the Ronald Reagan that I knew.

The Body Snatchers

Its been almost 25 years since my father died. I still remember the day I collected his belongings from the hospital. A carrier bag with his pyjamas and dressing gown. A toothbrush and comb, personal belongings, never to be used again.

A post-mortem was carried out. I still remember the pain I felt at that time knowing that someone was cutting him open. I tried to put it out of my mind, I wanted him to rest in peace. He was a stranger to them, an unknown father, husband and son, known only intimately by God. I didnt want them touching him now.

People talk often of the mind, body and spirit. We are apparently all spiritual beings having a bodily experience, right, so why should it bother me what happens to the body after its gone.

This is the excuse currently being used by those in the medical profession and also lobby groups, who are concerned about the lack of donor matches, and want to make organ donation compulsory in the UK when a person is dead, and to take from the dead bodies of us and our loved ones whatever they want to help save another. Presently, there are 7,300 britons currently on the waiting list for organ donation.

Organ donation not only consists of Kidneys, Heart, Liver, Lung and Pancreas, it also covers the donation of Body Tissues, such as Heart Valves, Bone Tissues and Skin and Eye Tissue.

In a recent article published in the Daily Telegraph it states: Sir Liam Donaldson, Chief Medical Officer wants a change in the law to make it compulsory that organs are removed from a dead body under presumed consent unless they carry a card abstaining from such a procedure. He states that people are dying needlessly. Many people agree with him. Organ donation has become a way of life. The article goes on further to say that that most people want to donate organs, they just never get around to carrying a donor card.

In 1999 Professor John Harris, an international authority on bioethics from Manchester University, also called for a change in the law to allow people to sell live organs!

Anthropologist Nancy Scheper-Hughes, coined a phrase in 1998 in an article written for The New Internationalist. It was called the New Cannibalism. Her argument was that the exploitation is an ethical failing, a human exploitation, a perception of the poor as organ sources which may be used to extend the lives of the wealthy.

Organ donation is a sensitive and emotive subject. Unheard of 40 years ago, it was in 1967 that Christian Barnard carried out the very first heart transplant. Since then mankind has come around to the idea of organ transplants, and many people carry organ donor cards, based on the fact that once they are dead they will no longer need their organs. Organ donation has become a new normality. Where once people would have been shocked as such a procedure, it is now a very accepted practice.

Documentaries illustrating the life giving skills of transplant operations are now common place on a weekly basis in all homes, and has been for many years. In stark contrast is the absence of the filming of abortive procedures, considered too horrific for the viewer to watch. It seems surgeons not only give life, they can also take it away.

People are no longer shocked or squemish at the sight of the scapel. The intricate and skilful hands of the surgeon are a marvel to the onlooker. The Anatomy and Physiology the most fascinating example of creation. How can anyone deny the existence of God. It is strange however that in our exposure to TV viewing of surgical procedures, mankind has actually become de-sensitised to the wonderment of human creation. The surgeon has become the giver of life.

Sadly, It never comes as any surprise when I hear people congratulating themselves and others in their battle against illness. In the physical realm, illness is the one main area where our being hangs between life and death; or so it seems, and it is often in the dire consequences of a serious illness where the human soul, will either cry out to its Creator and Saviour, or else it will cry out to his counterpart.

Accolades abound for the many surgeons who have successfully carried out many organ transplants. In a recent TV Pride of Britain Award, the main prize went to a very famous heart surgeon, Sir Magdi Yacoub.

Sir Magdi Yacoub appeared to be a very humble man, with a genuine concern for his patients, but not once did I hear a recipient of his skill, on this particular programme, thank God for their gift of extended life.

The current organ donation card should remain as it is for those people who wish to be a donor. I believe our bodies should not become the ownership of those who did not create and give life to them in the first place. I am concerned about the serious implications that will arise from compulsory organ donation, and the trend that is making people feel morally obligated to comply with the demands of medicine.

I am thankful to doctors at times, but my thanks will always go to God, the giver of life, who sometimes uses surgeons for good.

My father died at the time he was appointed, so were other members of my family. I wish they could have stayed longer.

My concern will always be for the soul, the unseen essence, and the reason we exist. My body is not to be used without my consent, not should it be presumed to be used otherwise.

Nonetheless, it is this authors attempt to raise an issue for you the reader to decipher for yourself. Using your inner eye, seek wisdom and the answers that come from a quiet stillness that come from within will reveal to you your own vision of truth.

“‘And again I heard the mysterious voice saying, “Son of the Republic, look and learn.” At this, the dark, shadowy angel placed a trumpet to his mouth and blew three distinct blasts; and taking water from the ocean, he sprinkled it upon Europe, Asia, and Africa. Then my eyes beheld a fearful scene. From each of these countries arose thick, black clouds that were soon joined into one. And throughout this mass, there gleamed a dark red light by which I saw hordes of armed men, who, moving with the cloud, marched by land and sailed by sea to America, which country was enveloped in the volume of cloud. And I dimly saw these vast armies devastate the whole country, and burn the villages, towns and cities that I beheld springing up.”

The excerpt above is the third tribulation placed before us in the Vision attributed to George Washington. Even if the detractors were to be correct that there is nothing to this, one must recognize its meaning and its clarity in light of today’s current events. Only a fool could see otherwise. So it is dear reader that I ask you to suspend your judgments and read and hear this story with your inner eye and your inner hearing. Bypass the authorities of today’s world and consult your inner given wisdom.

To assist you in understanding the message of the meaning which I am trying to share with you I ask you to take a short journey with me back to the 1980’s when Ronald Reagan came to power, because it is his successes that lead us to our current state of affairs with the jealous losers of the battle with him and his soldiers. With a great threat of Soviet dominance in the world evident, and a weakening stature of the United States foreboding an unpleasant future, President Reagan and his administration embarked on a bold path that would eventually lead to the fall of Soviet led communism.

This story has many players and I will, in brief, describe their roles and then show you how they play a part in what is occurring today in history and in terms of President Washington’s Vision. We start of course with President Regan, he understood that it was military might that the Soviet’s understood. To achieve this might, Reagan’s strategy involved tax cuts and spending controls at home to foster a resulting tax growth and economic boon unseen in the world with which he could finance our military expansion. Outside of the home front, Reagan convinced allies of the need for unity and the need to display on European soil weapons that the Soviets would understand, such as the Pershing missiles. But more importantly and mostly UNDERSDISCUSSED, was Reagan’s alliance with two entities that one may or may not think of as always friends. The first is easier to understand. That is Pope John Paul II. This pope having lived thru fascism’s grip on the world understood deeply what power he had in fostering the idea of freedom on such Soviet Bloc countries such as Poland. Many times it is organized religion that keeps the principles of freedom in the dark from the sight of its followers, not so this pope. It is no wonder that the Soviet’s also recognizing his potential power sought like the devils that they were to assassinate him. For years people tried to look the other way when it was mentioned that the Soviets and their minions the Bulgarians were behind the plot to murder the pope. But years later when documents proved this fact, the detractors instead of admitting their error, slinkered off into darkness waiting to fight another day, much in the same way that the liberals like Congressman Barney Frank did when Reagan’s successes at home and abroad proved to truthful for them to admit. Frank and others meandered off keeping a low profile until circumstances were more suitable for their warped political message.

There was another ally that no one mentions much, often because today we want to think of the Saudi’s and others as false friends in today’s terrorist world. But it would be more appropriate to recognize what this US foreign legion of sorts did for us in our effort to stem Soviet expansion. The Reagan Administration understood well that the Soviets had a bankrupt ideology when it came to their economy and that they depended on two things for their economic and military survival…one was the plunder of other nations wealth and workforces. But even that pillar was underpinned by one thing, oil. The Soviets were and are rich in commodities such as natural gas and oil. And what was keeping them afloat were the revenues from these sources. So Reagan and his supporters approached and convinced the Saudi’s and others to up production and flood the market with enough oil to curtail and dramatically lower prices. This did two things for the US and the free world. One, it helped boost or economy and strengthened our ability in the US, but two, and more importantly it began to portend a crippling of the Soviet war machine. Because the saw their income fall to bare subsistence levels the Soviet’s soon saw the writing on the wall and faced few options. One was war with the US. Soviet Generals fought both for and against this option. But another option was to dismember itself under the weight of debt. The Soviets blinked a chose the second option. They feared Reagan’s strength of belief.

Because of this second option brought about by Reagan’s foresight we must acknowledge that the Saudi government and others were decided allies in the fall of the Soviet expansion all the way down to the tearing down of the Berlin Wall. The problem is that this is where most wish to leave that chapter in history. But it is a huge mistake to do so. You see reader; there were some people not at all happy with what transpired during the 80’s and 90’s. These parties actually detest freedom, and like Barney Frank, when they see you winning they do not admit defeat, they go into hiding, they lay low and they wait like resentful pigs that they are to fight you another day, rather than join you and work with you for a better world they seek your destruction and their own exaltation. Imagine a group of people who decide that they can make God give them 72 virgins! What egos!
Let us start to describe these parties and who they are and why they now play a part in George Washington’s Vision. Although I could have been prescient in telling this story before, it is better timing now to reach more people today because the signs are clearer than ever for even the blindest of the blind. To understand my next bits of evidence you must understand the principle of jealousy and resentment. For people who harbor these qualities it is the pinnacle of pain for them to see any type of truth or justice or success of its adherents. And Reagan’s success were based on principles, ones that those who are jealous and or resentful cannot bear to have out in the open because it shines a light on who they are…and the who of today is the old Soviet types…the Putin’s of the world and his old Soviet guard who were never happy about Russian freedom. No instead it is only their own power and exalted status that they yearn for. The other party that never appreciated the success of what Reagan and the oil countries did was the extreme elements in the Middle East. These elements instead of recalling what The Soviets did to the Afghan people and scores of others in the middle east and how the US helped them chose instead to see the oil countries as squandering their nations wealth in order to help the ‘decadent west’. Over the last two decades the resentment and anger in the Middle East has reached the point of action against the west. They (and it is Iran and others) have even come to understand that they can pull a reverse Reagan strategy on us by using oil and its price to cripple the west into submission. The resurgent Soviets and the lying in wait communist Red Chinese who join them understand this as well, and they attempt to foil us at every turn. The clouds of Washington’s Vision have already risen from the earthly locales and begun shedding their rain upon us. Get out your umbrella.

For our part and not covered by Washington’s vision we in the US have raised and fostered our own citizenry who actually support the downfall of a free America. So this is where we are at in history. What will come next……?

Washington’s vision explains something hated and discounted by forces and parties both within and from without the US territorial borders…the vision goes on to state after much pain and disaster have occurred on US soil:

“Instantly a light as of a thousand suns shone down from above me, and pierced and broke into fragments the dark cloud which enveloped America. At the same moment the angel upon whose head still shone the word “Union,” and who bore our national flag in one hand and a sword in the other, descended from the heavens attended by legions of white spirits. These immediately joined the inhabitants of America, who I perceived were well-nigh overcome, but who immediately taking courage again closed up their broken ranks and renewed the battle. Again, amid the fearful noise of the conflict, I heard the mysterious voice saying, “Son of the Republic, look and learn.”

And

Three great perils will come upon the Republic. The most fearful is the third.”(ed note: the first two being our Revolution and the second being the US Civil War)

“(The comment[from Anthony Sherman] on his word ‘third’ is: The help against the THIRD peril comes in the shape of Divine assistance; passing which, the whole world united shall not prevail against her. Let every child of the Republic learn to live for his God, his land and Union.)”

You my dear reader, investigate for yourself…look within to see where we are headed.

WHEN YOU WEREN’T LOOKING YOU LOST YOUR COUNTRY

"Give me your tired, your poor,Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me.I lift my lamp beside the golden door."

Those were cherished words that greeted many of our ancestors as they immigrated to the United States. America has always been the great melting pot. Our success is due in part to “the huddled masses yearning to breathe free” adopting to our culture. Coming to America is a privilege, immigrants from the past were eager to become an “American”. No where else on earth did the poorest of the poor have the opportunities that America held for them. My husbands Grandparents were Italian immigrants in the 1920’s. They like many of their fellow immigrants told their children to “speak English” because they knew the importance of adapting to the culture of their new country. Though they had little, and worked very hard at the most difficult jobs for meager wages, they did it because this country offered them hope. Imagine, here they could own land, they could own a business, all they had to do was work hard. America is the land of opportunity, no other country on earth provides the opportunity that you have here. They loved their new country and when World War I and World War II came their sons went off to fight for their new country, in some cases against their old country. I don’t think I am alone when I say that is the type of immigrant that we welcome. That is what helped make us a great country. They come here legally, they come here because they love this country, they want to be an American. What you see going on today, with the illegal immigrants and the Hispanics who come here and demand that we acclimate to them instead of becoming Americans they are simply Hispanics living in America. They are often working under the table and not paying taxes, they overburden our health care and school systems. We are teaching in Spanish instead of insisting that they learn English. Our school and health care systems would bounce back if they took the attitude of our forefathers and worked as diligently at becoming Americans, and contribute to society. Sadly, for the most part, they are not and we are quickly headed for a crisis if we as American’s, do not stand up and take our country back. While you were busy working hard due to burdensome taxation and the high cost of health care and housing. Trying to do everything legally and on your own, you are being invaded. They have been organizing. I have copied below excerpts from speakers at rally’s over the past few years, that all of you should take a long look at. Primary among them,is Jose Angel Gutierrez, founder of National Council of La Raza (NCLR) the largest Hispanic civil rights and advocacy organization in the U.S. After you read the poison spewing from this mans mouth, perhaps then you will realize now is the time for us to stand up for our country before it is to late.

Organizations such as La Raza have a policy against the enforcement of Federal immigration laws that says in part, "State and local law enforcement agencies should not enforce federal immigration laws" because it would be "detrimental to the Latino community."
Jose Angel Gutierrez, who is a Professor at the University of Texas at Arlington and the founder of LaRaza says, "We have an aging white America ... They are dying ...We have got to eliminate the gringo, and what I mean by that is if the worst comes to the worst, we have got to kill him. The border remains a military zone. We remain a hunted people. Now you think you have a destiny to fulfill in the land that historically has been ours for forty thousand years. And we're a new Mestizo nation. And they want us to discuss civil rights? Civil rights? What law made by white men to oppress all of us of color, female and male. This is our homeland. We cannot - we will not- and we must not be made illegal in our own homeland. We are not immigrants that came from another country to another country. We are migrants, free to travel the length and breadth of the Americas because we belong here. We are millions. We just have to survive. We have an aging white America. They are not making babies. They are dying. It's a matter of time. The explosion is in our population."
In an another interview he was asked he actually continues the threat but contradicts his own declaration that Mexicans are already in their own land by admitting that the immigrants are coming from another country:
Q: “How are Mexican immigrants of today different from Mexican immigrants of decades ago?”
GUTIERREZ:” They are different in one salient aspect…they are keeping their Mexicanness. ..The Mexicanos that are coming today, even though they are political refugees and migrants returning to their homeland, are keeping their Mexicanness ... They are recreating Mexico here. I think they are doing it because of the sheer numbers. …”
Jose Angel Gutierrez, has also professed since 1970 that "Our devil has pale skin and blue eyes," and who once said at a MAYA (Mexican American Youth Organization, the forerunner to MEChA) meeting, "To the gringos in the audience, I have one final message to convey, 'Up yours, baby. To show you that this mentality is not just a fringe mindset look at what main stream Democrat Bill Richardson had to say: Bill Richardson, New Mexico Governor, former U.S. Congressman, U.N. Ambassador, U.S. Sect'y of Energy & Currently Running For President On The Democratic Ticket, interviewed on radio Latino USA responding to Congressional Immigration Reform legislation in 1996 "There are changing political times where our basic foundations and programs are being attacked, illegal and legal immigration are being unfairly attacked. We have to band together, and that means Latinos in Florida, Cuban-Americans, Mexican-Americans, Puerto Ricans, South Americans, we have to network better - we have to be more politically minded, we have to put aside party and think of ourselves as Latinos, as Hispanics more than we have in the past."

But wait there is more, look at what Ruben Zacarias has to say about creating voters. Ruben Zacarias, former superintendent of Los Angeles Unified School District at Southwest Voter Registration Project Conference, 6/1997 "We have 27 centers now throughout LAUSD. Every one of them has trained people, clerks to take the fingerprints. Each one has the camera, that special camera. We have the application forms. And I'll tell you what we've done with I.N.S. Now we're even doing the testing that usually people had to go to INS to take, and pretty soon, hopefully, we'll do the final interviews in our schools. Incidentally, I started this very quietly because there are those that if they knew that we were creating a whole new cadre of brand new citizens it would have tremendous political impact. We will change the political panorama not only of L.A., but L.A. County and the State. And we do that we've changed the panorama of the nation. I'm proud to stand here and tell you that in those close to three years we have processed a little over 78,000 brand new citizens. That is the largest citizenship program in the entire nation."

Oh, in case you were wondering what they want you to do when they do take over, Mario Obledo will tell you, he is the founding member/former nat'l director of Mexican-American Legal Defense and Educational Fund (MALDEF), former CA Sect'y Health/Welfare on Tom Leykis radio talk show "We're going to take over all the political institutions in California. In five years the Hispanics are going to be the majority population of this state." Caller: "You also made the statement that California is going to become a Hispanic state and if anyone doesn't like it they should leave - did you say that?" Obledo: "I did. They ought to go back to Europe."

Maybe it is time that we do more than just ‘Remember the Alamo’

While I do hear that a previous film was done on 3:10 to Yuma, I will relate what i saw this evening, because it will be more current for today's audience. I do not wish at this time to compare the two. If you have teenagers take them to see this movie. If you have a family take them to see this movie. If you have friends take them to see this movie.
If you recall a day when America discussed principle in its movies then go see this one. True, there is some blood, some gut, some profanity and innuendo not fit for the dinner table on a regular basis. But there is one thing in this movie deserving of every dinner table in America. That thing is principle.
The movie itself reminds all with vision of America's physical grandeur. It reminds us of heroism. It reminds us of sacrifice. It reminds us of what we have forgotten...what has been drowned out of us.....
It reminds us of a world created so that an individual can have the chance to sit down and decide for him or herself that principle is worth dying for. It is a story of a suffering relationship between a man and his teenage son who is suffering from wordly pulls. It is a story of a man who wanted to do something important...so important he was willing to give his all...his life because he was tired of the world as it was...he wanted to have meaning in his life... and he wanted to teach his son and family and the people around him that what was right is what is right to act upon.
Largely, America stands like the hero in this story...mostly alone...mostly unappreciated. But it is a country destined to live in a villainous world....we too have been given a chance to act upon what is right simply because it is right.
I will state ahead of time that a few scenes could have been better written, better scripted to make us understand the purpose of what we are seeing both in the hero and also in the villian, Russell Crowe. But looking past that and recognizing that story telling and message telling can be a difficult row to hoe, I have to give this movie a courteous pass on this because the message...the moral...the meaning that was displayed is of huge importance to every citizen not just of America, but of the world.
